Serene Garden Hotel

The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are friendly. Whereever they see you, they have a friendly smile on their face. We were bit disappointed with the service during the dinner. We had to call the waiter so many times for water and it seems that they are short of staffs for the dinner time. Everythime we had to call them for small small things like water,

we stayed here for one nite as part of our tour and found it to be a nice hotel in a good location.large king size bed in the room which was spotlessly clean.stayed half board and found the food to be of high standard with a great buffett breakfast which included many things.entertaintment was spanish guitarists singing to diners,there was also a nice swimming pool if had time to use it.

We stayed in this hotel for just one night and it is ok for an overnight trip. Rooms are compact, but clean and everything you need for a stopover. However, there was no hot water (in our bathroom) and all the rooms appear to be located underneath the kitchens, so the banging and clanking seems to go on throughout the night. Food ok, but like the water it was cold.

We stayed here for two nights as part of a tour with Upul from Sri Lanka Tailored Tours. First impressions were very good. The hotel is obviously very new. It sits high on a hill overlooking the lake and town of Kandy. Reception staff awere very welcoming and we were shown to our room which didn't disappoint. A really nice hotel. Pleasant staff and very good service. Wi-fi expensive however. And swimming pool very cool because of lack of sun!!

Serene Garden Hotel is an ideal base to visit many adventurous and historical sites such as centuries old Buddhist temples, the Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawala, Victoria, Randenigala reservoirs, historic Mahiyangana and of course the popular Knuckles Range.
