Baan Rim Nam

My boyfriend and I (both in our 20's) stayed at the Baan Rim Nam Guesthouse for 5 nights towards the end of September and had an amazing time. The Guesthouse is brilliantly located right on the river and only a 2 min walk to the stunning Khlong Prao beach - 1km stretch of white sand and palm trees, for the most part deserted while we were there! Had the great pleasure to stay at Baan Rim Nam after a week long whirlwind tour of SE Asia. I had been in contact with Ian, the owner, for a few months getting everything set up. He was there is meet us at the ferry and I was blown away by Baan Rim Nam as soon as I arrived. It was way more then I had imagined and gathered from the website. Spent a week here in March ’09, it’s a beautifully located Fishermans Cottage, converted to provide 3 a/c bedrooms/bathrooms fronting on to a communal deck over an estuary. There are a couple of fish restaurants on the opposite bank which will collect and deliver you back by boat. Whilst Ian doesn’t provide food, there is a fully stocked fridge with soft drinks/beers etc and Ian will happily do you tea/coffee/toast. We stayed at Baan Rim Nam for 3 nights in January this year. Driving up the sandy road to the entrance i was lost. Whilst saying our goodbyes to our driver Ian appeared. As soon as we met Ian we felt relaxed. We walked along the timber walkway & at the end of the walkway we were taken aback by the surrounding & view. Our room had a large bed & coffee table which was all that was needed. The bathroom is a good size & very clean. The deck off the 3 rooms was my favourite place to be.
