B&B Casa Baseggio

The hotel is perfectly situated between the water boat stop to the islands (Murano, Burano, Torcello) and the stop on the grand canal. Be sure to have good directions - it may be a bit difficult to find at first since the streets of Venice are like a maze. The breakfast was extremely good with fresh breads and pastries. Part of our group stayed a 2 minute walk away at his brothers place, 3749 Ponte Chiodo. Both places are highly recommended and both of the Baseggio brothers are extremely nice and helpful.

I have been to many B&Bs around the world, and I must say that this was one of the best. It is in a quiet non-touristy area in the north of Venice. Alessandra, the proprietor was fabulous and directed us to amazing local non-touristy restaurants. The room was large, spotless and extremely comfortable. The breakfast was served on a lovely shaded terrace and was a highly enjoyable experience. In short, this gem of a B&B is an island of sanity in the madness and mayhem that is Venice.

This is a wonderful little place to stay in Venice. It is in a very quiet neighborhood, yet just a few minutes walk to some streets bustling with activity. The owners are charming, the place clean, the coffee-yoghurt-breads make a nice breakfast, and the price is very affordable. We had a two room suite, with a small kitchen. Marco and Alessandra were warm and delightful hosts and we really enjoyed our four nights at their B&B. It 's located a bit off the beaten path, about 15 minutes north-east of the Rialto Bridge. But we really liked the area because it felt like we were living among the Venetians in a non-touristy neighborhood of old houses and back-canals. The bedroom was immaculately clean and roomy and the bathroom was also surprisingly large for an Italian B&B. Everything was new and modern.
