Ben Yehuda Apartments

During the winter there's little reason to stay on the beach. This was a much better location for restaurants, etc. Amit, the manager, provided all the services we would have gotten from a hotel. And this way we had triple the space, including a kitchen.

We stayed in apartment 22, which was near Ben Yehuda St but not too noisy. Room clean and comfortable, and although dining table was small, the in-room fridge, microwave, kettle, dishes etc made it a good alternative to a hotel. Parking was difficult (even blue/white on-street being reserved for local residents), but we eventually found multi-storey parking where you could pay max NIS40 ($10) and stay as long as you liked and then later another lot where the cost was NIS20. Stayed at Ben Yehuda for a few days before a wedding in Tel Aviv - made the choice to stay here while all my other friends were staying in hotels and definitely made the right choice. Dealt directly with Amit, the owner, via email from the website initially and then over the phone to pay - there's no means of paying online. We rented a two-bedroom apartment in the newer building (119 Ben Yehuda) for $110 per night. In February, the rate included high-speed internet but during our stay this didn't always work. Our apartment provided very comfortable accommodations for 2-4, possibly for 6 using the fold-out sofa in the living room though with just one bathroom this might be too many. We stayed at an aparment type D. The place happened to be clean, modern and the location was fabulous. The price is more than reasonable for Tel Aviv. If you come by car, don't forget to let the receptionist know in advance as there is no enough parking place for too many cars. The only negative point is that the apartment wasn't fully equipped. Just very basic cutlery and not enough kitchen stuff to cook in good conditions. Apart from that, the place is higly recommendable.
