Excellent choice

I loved the stay at the Praktik! I spent 3 days for business in Barcelona, on my own, and decided to try The Praktik, the price I payed was absolutelly unbeatable. The beds are huge and have plenty of pillows, same as in the best 4-star hotels! Shower very big too, with excellent pressure. Very clean, very simple, free internet wi-fi, luggage lockers and coffee vending machines. My room wasn´t big, but I didn´t care, I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely come back!

i have just stayed at the praktik hotel for the second time in six weeks..the first with two girlfriends , the second with my husband and two teenagers.recommended by my spanish friends who live nearby , it is perfectly located for a visit to barcelona. a short walk to to centre (we are talking 5 mins tops)and great for having coffee with the locals at the granga just around the corner. most importantly are the staff who are always most helpful at the least and extremely engaging and fun to talk too. the room i have had both times...

Nice experience

Overall a nice experience at the Praktik. The room was very simple and small (see pictures) but functional with a comfortable bed. No noise issue. Everything was fine for our short stay (2 nights). Good value for Barcelona. It took us about 10 minutes to walk there from the airport bus stop at Plaça de Catalunya.
Paper Walls

Whilst staying at the Praktik Hotel in Barcelona the song ‘Paper Walls’ by Marc Cohn constantly came to my mind. I suppose he must have written the song whilst staying at exactly the same hotel having exactly the same couple arguing at the room next door all night long. If noisy neighbours and poorly soundproofed walls are no deterrent or you are happy enough not having any neighbours, then the Praktik Hotel is a top spot! Dear Mr. Grec I do sincerely apologize for any inconveniences you had at the Praktik Hotel. The walls we have at the Praktik are soundproofed but obviously when people are shouting right next door no walls are big enough. Did you explain that situation to the reception so they could have come and calmed the guests next door? I would appreciate if that situation happens again please let us know as soon as possible so we can sort this problem out. Best regards

Hotel was in fantastic location, only 10 min walk away from one of the main streets of Barcelona (Passeig de Gracia) and 2 min walk to nearest tube station (Girona). Rooms were modern and clean, and the shower was amazing, very powerful! The hotel doesn't have wardrobes but has draws and hooks to hang clothes. Vending Machines on ground floor for hot and cold drinks, and lockers to put suitcases in on last day if needed. Excellent Value for money, would recommend!

We stayed at the Praktik Hotel for two nights. For the price, the size of room is impossible to beat. We stayed on the fourth floor facing the street. The room was quite comfortable, with extra large king size bed, a balcony and good size bathroom. We only have two complaints about this hotel: the receptionist assigned us a room which is not yet cleaned. But she offered us another one right away. The internet was not working probably. When we mentioned the problem to the receptionist, he did not offer to see what the problem...

After spending weeks looking for an affordable hotel in Barcelona, i found the Praktik and decided to give it a try. We booked a stay for 2 nights at the Praktik and let me tell you that the experience was really good. Location wise the hotel is very conveniently located, and in Barcelona for me location is everything! I booked a stay for 6 nights at the Praktik, and was worried after reading the preceding review. I am happy to report that my experience was an altogether much more pleasant one. Location wise the hotel is very conveniently located and I walked there from the Placa Catalyuna airport bus stop, taking about 10 minutes in all. Check in was a breeze although they are quite strict about the 2pm checkin policy: I arrived at 1.30pm and was told that I had to wait 30 minutes before the room was ready. No Sleep and No Sympathy

We were placed in room 205, which is at the front along the road and on the 2nd floor. It was a very noisy room. That night we slept only after about 3 when the drunk people outside had gone home and were awoken by the trash trucks collecting at 7am. We went to reception and were told that we should come back later in the day to see if a room at the back was available. The morning guy could not make the decision. Later we returned and were told that the guy from the morning shift assigned rooms and this new guy we spoke to could not change...

I agree with you that the service you received is not the right one and the receptionist didn’t act as he should. New,modern and nice hotel

WE enjoyed staying at the hotel.Very nice,english speeking young staff.New innovated and modern place.Good location-10 minutes walking to Pas. de Gracia.The room was small but comfotable.We had luck-the window was to the inside yard,so it was very quiet,anyway we also haven't heard the other guests from inside.There is nice lounge with a free internet.The only thing which was missing-frigider in the room.I reccomend the hotel.
