Becquer Hotel

A great location - in walking distance of everything and with a real buzzing atmosphere in the local area. Good hotel, clean and typical 4*. Buffet breakfast was OK but after 5 days became dull with not very good coffee. Ask for a room overlooking the street - the opening doors to the balcony give air - the first room we were given overlooked a wall and was rather claustrophobic. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Stayed for 3 nights in October 2005. Staff helpful and courteous. Room large and comfortable with lovely bathroom, though air conditioning slighly noisy. Had room at front of hotel overlooking road and needed to keep windows shut at night to keep out street noise, though my friends staying in the inner rooms overlooking courtyard said their rooms were very quiet. This is an all round average hotel. It's clean etc, staff are very friendly, location is good, but it's quite old. This means that when someone in one of the rooms surrounding you is having a shower, it sounds like a car is being driven through you room! In saying this I would CONSIDER staying here again - there is a new section of the hotel out the back and a room there would probably be better. Don't go for the B&B option - there are 3 or 4 coffee shops around the hotel that do a good breakfast for a fraction of the cost.

I read the reviews on Hotel Becquer on tripadvisor.com and finally decided to book it - no disappointment! Definitely the best one can expect from a city hotel. Although the architecture looks quite boring and a bit shabby from the outside, the interior with dark wooden furniture, plenty of mirrors and nice carpets looks wonderful. My family and I just returned from Spain and we spent a few days in Seville at the Bequer hotel. It is a very well located hotel, with nice simple rooms. The staff is very gracious and the breakfast in the hotel was a good start to the day. Visiting the sights in Seville from our hotel was very easy, we are New Yorkers and walking the city was natural. The hotel provided a good map, We really only took the taxi once, as the temps began to soar around 1pm. I would advise people to be inside from then until about 5. One word of caution... more

Visited this hotel Easter 2005. Good central hotel. Great breakfasts. Rooms spotlessly clean. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.
