HAGLEITNER Family Balance Hotel & Spa

This is our second trip and it was just as great for skiing as it was in the summer season. We haven't been to other family hotels so I can't compare but for us, this was a real stress free, high quality holiday. OK, the communal areas are not as de luxe as a standard 4* and it all feels a bit free for all at times but SO relaxed, easy going and patient about everything our kids threw at them. We have just returned from a week's stay at the Hagleitner Family Balance Hotel and Spa. We booked directly with the hotel and this could not have been easier with very friendly and quick communication via email. We chose a Sonnberg suite which was huge - plenty of room for our two children and us to spread out and a separate bedroom for the children. We were looking for a child orientated hotel - but not in the Butlin's style! I found out about Kinderhotels - a chain mainly in Austria and then narrowed down my search to Hagleitner - great 4 star hotel in a fantastic location near Zell am See for walks, cycle rides, cable car trips etc. The Hotel is all inclusive (minus alcohol) and the food is virtually non-stop all day - very good quality. Simply fantastic. Great staff, professional service but always with a smile, infrastructures for kids (we have two, 7 months and 3 years old) are excellent. Fully deserved the award as best "kinderhotel" of the year.
