Riad Charqi is a gorgeous place: exotic central patio with fountain and fantastic tiles. My room was two stories high with beautiful tiled walls, columns, huge bed, seating area and extremely clean. The breakfast is great--fresh fruit, crepes, two types of jam, great french bread, fresh orange juice, brewed coffee, and yogurt. The Riad is closer than I thought to the Bab Boujeloud and main shoping streets of the Medina, about a 10 minute walk. Housaine is the manager, and he could not be better! We decided to go to Fes last minute from Southern Spain and I found Riad Charqi's website. We stayed there 3 nights in the Marrakech Room and could have stayed forever..... The Riad is esquisite.... I am still speechless about it. I has recently been renovated and is just perfect. The manager was there to answer our every whim and could arrange anything!!
