Marina View B&B

Our flight got delayed and we didn’t arrive at Marina View until after 1am but Jose was kind enough to wait up for us. The next morning, Jose prepared 2 maps with his personal recommendations on restaurants for us which we found very helpful. We had the best seafood at Kiosko Universal inside Boqueria Market. He also gave us recommendations on where to go. Jose has been a gracious and helpful host throughout our 4 night stay. We would not hesitate to recommend Marina View to our friends.

We were recommended the Marina View by friends and it certainly lived up to our expectations! The location is great - situated right at the bottom of La Ramblas and overlooking the marina. We stayed in the Columbus room and the view was gorgous especially at sunset and even though it overlooks a busy road we found the flat really quiet and were not bothered by any road noise. Unless you require the luxury and service of a four or five star hotel, the Marina View B & B is a good bet! Our room was more than adequate with a wonderful view of the marina. In fact, the pictures don't do it justice -- it is spotless, sophisticated and contemporary. I think the marina view rooms are worth the extra expense. My husband and I spent a few days in Barcelona and thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Marina View. Our host was absolutely charming, knowledgeable and helpful. If we ever return (and we hope to!) we will definitely stay at the Marina View. The location is convenient, the room clean and nicely decorated, the breakfast beautifully presented and substantial. If you are looking for an American-style 4-star hotel, this is not going to suit. If you actually want to be charmed by the beauty and culture that is Barcelona, book a room at Marina View.... more
