Hotel Hostal Marbella

Hostal Marbella is a (since March 2010) refurbished Swedish led Hostal situated near the central square of Fuengirola, just about 10 minutes from the main bus and train station and 300m from the beach. The room was cleaned every day, featured a small safe, Flatscreen TV and air conditioning. Stayed in this hostel for four nights. Having previously tried the cheap & large hotel option (in Torremolinos - which I did not like at all) we decided for a smaller and more "honest" option. We were very happy with our stay. The hostel offers rooms of similar standard to that of a three star Spanish hotel. Rooms are not too large, but clean and with daily housekeeping. It's the Hostal Marbella on Calle Marbella which is a quiet pedestrian street which leads from the main square. The word "hostal" in Spanish does not mean the same as "hostel" in English and their are no bunk-beds, curfews or dormitories here!! It is spotlessly clean with friendly, efficient staff and has everything a traveller might want - 24 hour reception/FREE wifi/ breakfast room, A/C and TV.Although it's only 100 meters from the beach the prices are probably 50% less than a sea-view ....and it's much quieter!

Nice and clean, in the center of the town and just 5 minutes walk to the fantastic beach of Fuengirola (its 8 km long!). There were also wierless internetconnection in the entire hotel, so I could use my laptop on the room. Much for the money.
