Ca' San Giorgio

Venice is a magical city and the staff at Ca San Giorgio made it even more amazing! Silvia, Camilla, and Chiara were outgoing, friendly, and always available with advice, directions, and restaurant recommendations. At first I had reservations about staying in Santa Croce, but in the end it was a great location - close enough to walk to Rialto (10 minutes) and Piazza San Marco (20 minutes), but away from the crushing crowds. We stayed her for 1 night in Sept 2006 as our original hotel was unable to accomodate an extra night when our flights got changes - what a gem of a hotel with very friendly staff Recently refurbished, great sized bathroom. No lift

This hotel was just simply excellent. First for 90 euros it is oustanding, like nothing else you will find in Italy. The room looked like one from the Hyatt, good size, comfortable bed, fine decorating, good size shower and extremly clean. Plus the free breakfast is not just coffee or juice and a bagel, but cereal, fresh fruit and more. The woman running the hotel was very sweet and spoke English pretty well. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in Venice and Ca San Girgio was a welcomed retreat. This bed and breakfast was spotless and homey. We appreciated the use of the wireless laptop and how clean the room- especially the bathroom- was. We stayed in the Junior Suite for 3 nights and the only drawback is that apparently a generator or something sits on our private balcony so it would buzz off and on during the night. Overall, our stay was good and we would definitely recommend this place.

We stayed here for 3 nights (i wish it could have been longer - Venice is fantastic) in May. The rooms are spotlessly clean, and the hotel is away from the noisy areas but still easily accessible by foot/vaporetto. The beds were lovely and firm and the breakfast extremely filling (mmm fresh croissants). I couldnt fault it. But what really makes the place great is the staff, Silvia and the rest of the girls working there were extremely helpful and friendly - havent met better in Italy. Would definitely return.

Fantastic place to stay. Amazingly large rooms for venice. Very well appointed. Hot wired throughout hotel and they have a notebook you can borrow with out additional charges. Finally a large bed in Italy. Very attentive nice employees Definitely go back. Good value for money too.

Reading all the fantastic reviews of this hotel (which is why we booked in the first place) makes me feel a little cheated on the room we had. We stayed here in early April - the hotel/B&B itself was lovely and the staff really sweet, esp Chiara and Silvia, the breakfast was good, and it was absolutely spotless and in a great position. However, we had a double room at the very top of the building which didn't have any windows we could see out of!
