Charming small hotel
This is a converted villa in the heart of the old part of the city of Cordoba. I don't think there are more than a dozen rooms. When we arrived we were greeted by the owner, who lives on the premises, and made us feel welcome. When we arived (@11:00 a.m.) our room was not ready yet. The owner took our lugage and gave us directions to go see the sights. When we returned from Our first foray at sight seeing our bags were in our room, which was on an interior courtyard and overlooked an exterior courtyard. The room was spacious and... more
Charming B&B
This is a charming B&B a 15 minute walk from the mezquita. I liked that it was removed from the busyness of the main tourist attractions. The walk to the hotel is a very quaint one. The inner courtyard is rustic and spanish, and very impressive. Our room was lovely; it faced the street. The a/c did not work well at all. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel and I found it offensive that they charged for it on top of a 105 euro nightly rate. The owner is very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, he leaves his wife in charge sometimes... more
Disappointing
We've just finished a three night stay at this hotel which was altogether a pretty disappointing experience. First, the good parts - Cordoba is a beautiful city with wonderful food, the hotel is comparatively quiet and the reception staff are very friendly. There is free internet access, and the central courtyard in the hotel is very pretty. Regrettably, that pretty much concludes a list of the good parts. The overall impression having stayed here for three days was that this was far more a B&B than a hotel. For instance, you have... more
Great little hotel
My husband and I and our two friends we traveled with chose this hotel based on TripAdvisor recommendations. I can't speak for my friends, but my husband and I were really happy with this place. The location is very good- easy walking distance to the center of Cordoba but far enough away that it's away that it was very quiet. Our room was in the front of the hotel (Pacifica). If we had slept with the windows open (we used the AC since it was really hot) the occaisional car driving by may have bothered us b/c the road is like cobblestone... more
really friendly little hotel
we stayed there for a couple of days in mid January. The weather was pretty cold, meaning that the lovely courtyard which is one of the hotels features wasn't very relevant, but it would be great when it was warmer. The (English-speaking) staff were efficient and friendly, the food was fine - the location was slightly out of the historic center, but a pleasant 10 minute walk, and the hotel backs onto a very large square. Slightly to my surprise the wi-fi access worked well (there is also a free computer in their library). Our large room was... more
