Hotel Principe di Fitalia

Can be a little tricky to find, but once inside the gates a little haven of peace and tranquility. 5 mins to some good beaches, a great pool and good food make this an ideal base to explore Siracusa and the surrounding area. Romantic rustic setting with high standard of facilities, even a well equipped gym should you be so inclined. Family owned and operated, friendly, nothing too much trouble for friendly staff. Definately on my 'will return one day' list.

My Wife and I have just returned from a fantastic holiday at the Hotel Principe di Fitalia. The Hotel with its 21 bedrooms is set in the countryside close to Syracuse and the island of Ortygia and an easy 50minute drive from Catania airport. We both have nothing but praise for the Hotel itself and for all the staff who througout our staff always treated us like their own personal guests. Principe di Fitalia is a really lovely, family-run hotel in the countryside 6Km from Siracusa, set in well tended grounds amongst fields and less than 1Km from the sea. The surrounding area is nothing special (an ugly industrial building over the road, apartment block next door) but once inside the gates of the hotel, you are immediately transported into a tranquil place where you are immersed in a perfectly relaxing environment.
