Locanda ai Bareteri

After reading trip advisor reviews we contacted this B&B directly. We only stayed 1 night at this B&B in Venice.. But ANNA, with her nicest personality was such a perfect guide for us that in half a day we were able to go around and eat out in Venice. The B&B is at a perfect location, between the Rialto Bridge and San Marco..... We purchased a 24 hour ticket and during the vaporetto tour it rained heavily and got so cold, to our luck... I stayed there just before Thanksgiving with my two daughters and we had a spacious, spotless, comfortable room, with a minibar (reasonable) and a big new bathroom with a great shower. This was a European bed and breakfast place with no TV but the accommodations were really comfortable. We loved it. This was great but this was not an American hotel with wall to wall carpeting. Myself and my fiancee stayed in the Locanda for two nights in Sept 2006, and I would certainly recommend the hotel. The room was large, comfortable, clean with a minibar (no TV though !!).... the bathroom was well stocked, bright, clean with a good shower .... the breakfast was small but nice .... the staff were friendly and helpful (they even posted me a picture I bought in Venezia but left behind by accident). Overall a very good and well run hotel.

My friend and I stayed here for 4 nights; the room was very spacious, Sergio and the rest of the staff were very helpful and friendly. We loved the tiny street and the Restaurant opposite was very good. We had a little trouble finding the place, but we did arrive in the pouring rain, but once there it was warm and cosy. Breakfast was basic but so many good places to eat for lunch and dinner it was adequate. Would definitely stay here again, maybe during the winter, walkways very creepy!!! This was a fabulous location - a few minutes to both San Marco and Rialto - but also on a quieter street so it did not feel too crowded. Great price! Cute Gondoliers at the end of the alley every morning. Very nice owners and the people who worked there were great! - one note - on their advice we took the water taxi instead of vaperetto - not worth it! The vaperetto stop is maybe 4 blocks away!

your mama!!!!!!!!!it was december of 2004 and my girlfriend and i just flew into venice and needed a hotel..we did all last minute arrangements for the flight and had only 2 carry ons....as we were walking all over venice looking for a hotel, we found this hotel bareteri-where we bumped into sergio- not knowing at the time he is one of two brothers who own the place....he asked if he could grab our bags and help us to check in...that was huge in my book---i was dying!!!!anyway, sergio checked us in and told us to relax...after about 2 hours... more
