Norman Diego's The Mexican Inn

Thanks to Trip Advisor's information, we booked Norman Diego's Mexican Inn in Cabo San Lucas. We loved the inn, the bargain price, and the excellent service, for which Rick (staff) refused our offer of a tip. We (three of us) booked the Master Suite for three nights. A small group of us visited what was then called the Chili Pepper Inn 5 years ago and enjoyed it then. Four of us needed a room for one night a week ago and spent it at The Mexican Inn. While we liked the old inn, The Mexican Inn is much improved. The rooms are delightful and spotlessly clean! In the morning, we enjoyed fresh fruit, pasteries, coffee and orange juice under the palapa in the courtyard, watching the hummingbirds collect nectar from the flowers and drink from the fountain. I spent seven days in Cabo and stayed at four hotels. My intent was to find the best hotel under $70 U.S. dollars. I am returning in June with a group of about twenty people and wanted to find the best deal. I used tripadvisor to find several candidates. Following a quick summary: Cabo Inn- worst of the four hotels but not horrible. Siesta Suites- a decent option, in town and acceptable rooms. We really enjoyed our stay at the Mexican Inn. The staff was very friendly, greeting us every day after our adventures in town. Upon arrival, we were cordially welcomed with smiles, followed by bottles of cold water and movies to enjoy from the in room DVD player. The location is a bit off the beaten path, on a dirt road, across from a small torilla factory, but the ambiance of the area and the Inn made up for the short walk to downtown.
