Casa Isabel

View, View, View.. the city, the ocean, all from the pool, patio and our room. Our Villa had a full kitchen (with another view from the kitchen window) with everything we needed to prepare our own meals. The dining area in our room opened up to become an open air outdoor eating space complete with a thatched roof. The bedroom was raised in order to take advantage of the view as well. My wife and I visited Casa Isabel from April 25th through May 2nd of 2005. We own at Ocho Cascadas just south in the Conchas Chinas area for 2 weeks in December, and while we probably could have used the timeshare company for the trip in April, we just didn't feel that the options they were providing were anywhere close to what we were used to. We stayed recently at Casa Isabel in Puerto Vallarta for the month of April 9 to May 8, 2005. The Casa consists of 9 units and is, as you can imagine, very personal vis a vis the Casa staff and the guests. Nobdy stays there for any period of time, be it a few days, a week, or more without meeting the owners and "Wanito", the everything person. Everything is brand new and everything works........sometimes not an easy thing to say about a Mexican establishment. There are parties each week, it seems, organized by the owners.... more

Casa Isabel is a lovely oasis floating above the city yet only a short walk to town and the beach. I will warn you that the walk is steep in some spots but we looked at it as part of our daily excersize. Cabs are plentiful and cheap so you can use them some of the time. The hotel is beautifully decorated and well maintained by a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. You really feel as if you are staying in someones' home. There are no children allowed and indeed I don't think one would be comfortable having little ones running around since... more

We stayed at the Casa Isabel for three weeks in December '04 in room 401. Fabulous view of the bay, town, north shore and mountains. 401 faces north and we enjoyed a 180 degree view from our balcony. Our suite was spacious with a large combination living room, balcony dining and kitchen. We spent most of our days at the beach and ate out most evenings however we did pick up groceries for breakfasts and snacks from Rizo's grocery store usually in the evenings as it is located not far from many of the restaurants we like to patronize.... more

My wife and I stayed at Casa Isabel for three weeks (from Dec 14, 2004 through Jan 4, 2005) and then again for another week (April 16-23, 2005). Casa Isabel is a perfect fit for our style of vacation. It's just far enough from the action that we can get peace and quiet at night and during the odd day around the pool but close enough (~5 minute walk) to Basilio Badillo (restaurant row), the Olas Altas area (more restaurants and coffee shops) and Los Muertos beach (the most popular beach in PV).
