Bed and Breakfast Corte Campana

If you ever go to Venice stay at Corte Compana. Ricardo is trying for Sainthood.My traveling partner made a last minute change and decided to go to Rome while we were in the Paris airport. We were fortunate enough to get all 3 rooms at this great B&B to house 4 generations on our family trip. Awesome location and good price--off the main drag and quiet but so close to everything. The accommodations were great and you felt like you were staying in someone's home as opposed to a sterile hotel room. The rooms were large by Italian standards and very clean. We loved this B&B recommended by Rick Steve's book We called from Rome and made reservation with Riccardo. He made sure to be there and met us personally when we arrived. We stayed three days and thought it was a great base from which to see Venice. Arrived by vaporetto (water bus) and followed Steve's directions. Very easy to find. Riccardo went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable, but he went well beyond what we expectd when my wife had a medical emergency our first evening. Corte Campana Bed & Breakfast - Long story… This hotel, or “bed and breakfast” was in Rick Steve’s book. Ok, I don’t think Rick actually stayed there though, because I doubt he’d include it in his book if he had our experience!
