Hostal Ritzi

The following is a response to a review posted on your site titled "an absolute nightmare" Jan 14th. We consider this to be part of a local smear campaign. We have invited guests from our visitors book to give an accurate account of the Ritzi, which deserves better treatment from a responsible website. Response: We recently took over the Hostal Ritzi and have increased the staff and redecorated the rooms. We also opened a new dining room and bar. Constructive criticism is welcome. To be damned for having an "old fashioned" unmodernised hotel with old furniture, when that is a central feature of your advertising, is an unexpected and unique attempt at criticism. The fact that the room had been repainted two weeks previously and the beds were new seemed to go unnoticed, the cause of the "nightmare" seems to have been one old (but characterful) side table and a blown light bulb. A table lamp was requested and supplied, but oddly no complaint made or another room requested. Despite the consequential need for alcoholic oblivion the night before, an early breakfast was enjoyed and smiles exchanged whilst paying the bill. We were therefore shocked at the vicious emotional language in this review, and confused that our "horrible dump" had been drawing such glowing comments in our visitors book.
