Hotel Liberty

I booked this hotel after reading glowing reviews here. As my stay was short (only 1 night) during high season, I was prepared to be flexible. So when my enquiy was met with a "we just happen to have the 1 night you require" I considered myself fortunate. If you arrive in Sitges by train, then Hotel Liberty is great, as it is no more than 2 minutes walk from the station, and very easy to find. Very well kept from the outside. Inside is a little bit of a mish-mash of old and new. The room we stayed in was a decent size. Half the lightbulbs seemed to be missing around the place though. Moth-eaten chandeliers hang from the ceilings, terracota tiled floors, huge wooden doors, wooden shutters on the windows, mixed with what I assume was a major shopping trip to Ikea if the wardrobes and... more

From the outside you would think this is just a plain old town house, but enter in to a lovely 3 story building tastefully kept with a nice garden. We booked a twin room, which was on the 3 level, the very top level being a suite. The rooms are well decorated and not your average hotel room. Minibar, tv/dvd/cd all provided with air con (ours didnt work but we didnt need it!). Breakfast is buffet style with good sections up until midday. My fiancee and I stayed for 3 nights in March and loved the place. We had the penthouse room with a terrace view over the town rooftops to the south...perfection...if you don't mind the 78 steps, which we didn't. Staff and the owners were great and very helpful as well as allowing us the right level of our own space to come and go as we pleased. Location is great and only a short walk from everywhere in town. We would certainly stay there again as a first choice, Sitges is beautiful and the hotel complements the town perfectly.

Loved the hotel in general ,but specifiaclly loved the manager and his customer dedication. Breakfast was lovely but could have done with a fry up with sausages. It hurts being away from the place as we all loved it so, cant wait to go there again next year! Thanks again for the special service! Mike

The Hotel Liberty was a great place to stay clean rooms really nice staff a great casual bar to drink in and meet other guests or locals before going out to dinner. they run Sitges property services as well and have great apartments to stay in as well. The breakfast is really good as well and goes until mid day. Best meal we had in sitges was at El Velaro restaurant not cheap but really worth it it is on the beach front down near the chapel.
