Hostal Orleans

This hostal was a good pick. Clean room, a good bathroom. My room was a little noisy because it was located in front of the street, but Barcelona is a noisy town, anyway! Good and warm greeting by the staff. Near the beach. But, you know, don't expect luxury, just a good room with the basics (TV, bath), not much space but enough. And, what is it with the ugly brown color everywhere in Spain's hotels?

I agree mainly with the other contributors: but be warned that there are 46 steps up from the street to the hotel - not the thirty-something that an earlier contributor counted! There is a lot of road noise outside - the street is very busy - but with the windows closed, the inner and outer shutters closed and the curtains pulled, it is bearable. The room we had (also 208) was, we thought, very small and I hit my head several times on the television shelf. Is a very good and well positioned hostal, we stayed for 7 days in a double room with bathroom, it has a balcon too. I liked the staff (very kindly). Despite to the map is near the life center of Barcelona (10 min walking to the ramblas). I suggest it to all!

Very good ** hotel. We spent six days there, and had no problems. The staff was very nice and helped us with every thing we needed. Very good option for those who want to be central and not spend much money. Jojo.
