Il Rosolaccio

We stayed here four nights in mid June. The grounds and the building are what we expected. We found the hosts quite cold and unwelcoming. In fact, we joked that the first time we saw them smile was while we were checking out. I assure you we were well behaved guests. The pool was nice. But beware there was no air conditioning. I know this is my fault for not specifically asking but it seemed like such a nice place and out in the country it did not occur to me. Our room, on the second level, was 98 degrees at midnight! When we arrived at the entrance to the driveway of Il Rosolaccio and looked up to see the villa sitting at the top of a hill flanked in vines we were absolutely thrilled as it looked even more inviting than their website. As we pulled into the driveway the gardens surrounding the villa were immaculate and the terrace with tables and chairs were already looking extremely inviting.
