Tamarindo Bed and Breakfast

My husband and I just returned from a circle tour, by bus, of the Yucatan. While in Cozumel, we stayed with Eliane and Gorge at their charming bed and breakfast, Tamerindo, right in the town of San Miguel. This is really a delightful Mexican home away from home. Eliane, originally from Normandy, prepares beautiful breakfasts, served on lovely ethnic plates and glasses, between 7:00 and 9:30 on the terrace outside your rooms. My girlfriend and I just came back recently from spending a week in Cozumel. I have to admit that we had no idea what we were in for. Our stay was pre-arranged by a friend of my girlfriend's as a sort of pre-wedding honeymoon. The rest of the couples that atended stayed at the Amaranto. My girlfriend and I stayed at the Tamarindo. We stayed in Cozumel from Nov 12-Nov 26th, at the Tamarindo. We really enjoyed the laid -back, quiet atmosphere, and Jorge and Eliane are excellent hosts who are very helpful with restaurant recommendations, dive shop recommendations, etc. Most days we had breakfast there, and especially enjoyed the waffles and crepes. We rented a car for the entire two week stay, and really enjoyed the freedom of being able to explore the island on our own. the tamarindo is a small but super friendly b and b. eliane and jorge are full of information and are more than willing to share. eliane's breakfast are delicious (except on sundays when she takes a day off), and their service is always accompanied with a smile. although it's a little ways away from downtown, it's still a very convenient location. one will hear the neighboring roosters every morning and the birds chirping away. it has a very relaxing atmosphere and we look forward to our return.

I'm travelling around the world since 10 years, for business where I stay in all kind of hotels (from 2 to 5 stars) and for hollidays. During these periods I'm looking for charming places where I can meet nice people. Amaranto is a place where we found much more than that. First, the architecture and decoration : without being artists, we could experiment an intense peacefull and relaxing feeling because of the soft curbes, the generous volumes and the charming decoration.
