La Luna Apartments

First may i say Top marks to First Choice travel operators, From book in to departure all brilliant service. Skiathos is a beautiful low key beach based holiday. If you are seeking adventure or museums, nightlife or tours go somewhere else. this is purely chill out. relax and recharge the batteries kinda Island. We have just returned from a 2 week holiday in La Luna Apartments in Skiathos and I had a absolutely wonderful time. Here are a few things you might like know if you are soon to be going: - THE APARTMENTS La Luna apartments are on the outskirts of the resort Troulos. It is a 5 minute walk downhill to the nearest supermarket and beach, getting back up to the apartments takes a little longer as its all uphill. the la luna apartments are just the right size for a family of 4 (except the en suite bath they should of just fitted a shower tray), there clean and comfy. the views from the balcony are beauitful you can see for miles. Dimitris and rula who manage the hotel are wonderful they make you feel very welcome and their there whenever you need them no matter what time of day or night(if you stay there round about the 17th june you know what i mean). This was a cheap holiday and I didn't expect much to be honest, but the apartments are lovely, the beach is clean and the service is out of this world. Dimitris and Rula are the nicest hosts I've ever encountered ~ the other reviews are right, they never seem to sleep! It's probably best for couples, but there were kids there who seemed to be having a great time as well. Don't worry about the steep hill unless you're really unfit, it's pretty steep but it's not that far. I got home yesterday and already I'm wondering what's going on back... more

I don't have particuarly high expectations for my holiday accommodation, however La Luna was a lovely place to stay in. We went last September - the weather was great for the start of the week, but then went downhill for the last 2 days which was a shame. The accommodation was lovely, clean and fresh. It has great views of Troulos bay and was an ideal end to the day to sit on the balcony watching the sun set. The owners were friendly but didn't bother you if you wanted to keep to yourself. We stayed in Luna apartments end of September the weather was really warm and it was still full here. Luna is on a steep hill top but worth the huff and puff up with brilliant views of Troulos and the beach(which all the rooms have balcony views of) The pool is average and clean but not really much for children it is more of a couples place with a great pool bar where you will find Dimitris the manager(24 hours a day!!) who is really helpful and bit of a character when you get to know him. We stayed at the luna appartments during the first two weeks in October. Their location gave an outstanding view over the Troulos bay. There is a good sized swimming pool and a very good pool bar. The driveway from the main road is not just steep it's very steep, not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties. A 600 metre walk to the super marketis fine going but uphill going back. Have just returned from an absolutely fantastic holiday, staying at La Luna, Troulos with Demitiris and Stavrula being the best host and hostess ever. The apartments have recently been refurbished, and are the best we've ever stayed in. The views over Troulos Bay are breathtaking, and there are all the facilities you need only a short walk away - although the hill back up to the hotel is quite steep.
