Rigas Hotel

We have just returned from one week at Hotel Rigas, along with our 7 year old son. We agree with other reviews in that the hotel was spotlessly clean (towels changed daily), family run (warm & friendly), free air-con, free safety deposit box & stunning location, minutes from the village centre. Great hotel, superb location and stunning views. The hotel really lived up to the pictures in the brochure. Afitos itself was a charming small village with great restaurants and friendly bars. The beaches are good and the small taverna on the beach served superb Greek food with fish being their speciality. We will return!!!!!

Having not had any reviews of the Hotel Rigas (on Trip Advisor) to go by, we were a little unsure, but were pleased once we got there. The hotel is situated at the top of a cliff that gives fabulous views across the Aegean to the Sithonia Peninsula, and view of the beach below, which is about a 10 minute walk (15 back as it's up hill). It's on the edges of town, but is a lovely 2 minute stroll into the heart of the village. We stayed at the Rigas for a week in June 2009. The hotel has a fantastic location overlooking the sea. The beach is a 5 minute work down a bank and the beutiful village centre is also 5 minutes away. The hotel rooms are really comfortable and are kept very clean. We will be booking to go back next year.
