Hotel was very impressive but we checked before in May that it was suitable for me as I cannot do steps due to a disability. Travel agent checked with first choice, they said there were only 2 steps to beach.
We arrived late at night only to be shown to our room down loads of steps. We went back to the manager and explained and he said we could pay to upgrade to a junior suite. Our rep checked again with head office, and found computer error instead of 2 steps there were 78!!
First choice the paid for our upgrade and sorted out a wheelchair and porter to collect me at 8am and take us to the beach the back way and collect us.
Unfortunately we came down with stomach upset 3 days later, the food was always lukewarm. Many people came down with it over the holiday.
Unlucky for us on the Sunday of our 2nd week we got back to our room at 10pm only to find a drunk Russian man in my bed with his trousers on the floor minus some of our duty free vodka. We rang security but took 2 phone calls for anyone to come.
We again had to be moved as I could stand to be in the same room, but the manager thought we were making a fuss.
Next day in dining room we queued up for salad and yet another Russian proceeded to dip the ladles in all the dressings and put them in his mouth to taste. We complained to restaurant manager but he said most Russians were bad like that.
We saw our poor rep again to tell her and she arranged with a different manager for us to eat in the Italian restaurant after that.
Can I just end by saying that the waiters and bell boys were excellent, nothing too much trouble.

The hotel complex was immaculate and the staff very friendly and helpful. Nobody hung around for tips though the staff clearly work very hard and often a tip was warranted.
Our room was immaculate and we had a wonderful cleaner who, as well as making sure we had everything we needed, entertained the children making objects from the towels.
There was a large selection of food in the main restaurant at all meal times, always something to everyone's taste. I did get a dicky tummy for a day but the children were all fine. The waiter service was fabulous, instant table and constant attention. Again, the waiters entertained the children making objects from the serviettes and playing tricks on them. We dined in the Italian and Chinese restaurants also. The menu was very limited not really catering for different tastes.
Evening entertainment was very limited and caters more for the Russians, probably the largest holidaymaker population on the complex. Not a problem for us as we were more interested in family activities during the day. There was sufficient activities and excursions to occupy the children during the day and early evening.
The weather was around 30 degrees centigrade by day and around 25 at night. Comfortably hot during the day and cool on a night. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday there and intend to return there next year.

My partner & I have just returned from the LTI Grand Azure.
I am quite amazed at the variety of reviews for this complex. Personally, we found it to be a brilliant hotel. We received a free room upgrade on arrival, the staff (especially Akram in the Chinese restaurant) were attentive & polite and appreciated it when you had a laugh with them. I can only assume that if staff were rude then some people must just deserve it!
The food in the main restaurant was slightly similar from one day to the next but the specialty restaurants proved to be rather good. I think most people would be rather pleased with the food standards.
I did have some stomach cramps but I put that down to the heat rather than the food as my partner had the same food & no stomach problems.
The only criticism would be the breakfast boxes that you have to order if you're going on any trips (we have passed this on direct to the hotel). They did not contain any bottled water & if, like us you had to get up at 4.30 am (the Petra trip) you we're required to purchase water as your all inclusive stops at 2am.
I do understand that everyone has different standards but I'm of the impression that if you make an effort to be pleasant & polite, then you will get it back!
All in all we had a brilliant time & would go back to the LTI at the drop of a hat.

Please take a minute to read this review before booking this hotel.
My partner and I booked this holiday approx 2 weeks before flying out to Sharm for a weeks break in the blistering sunshine to relax in what appeared to be a wonderful resort.
We flew from Manchester to Sharm using Excel Airways which is the usual when going to Egypt however upon attendance at the airport the flight was changed and we had to use Italy Air - the staff were at best polite and do the minimal speaking poor English, which you'd expect to be fair.
Once landed in Sharm we chose not to purchase the "required" visa stamp - please note that unless you are going to travel once you are there e.g., Cairo and Luxor trips you will need it - but for all other excursions you will not! (The operators try to sell you it but trust me you don’t need it if you’re staying at the hotel or just going within Sharm)
Our operator then greeted us in the typical way, shouting amongst 20 other staff - we then got our bags and went to the hotel.
My first impression of the hotel was very positive, its vast, clean and the staff were very welcoming. The bedroom at the hotel was again very well kept and vast - somehow we'd managed to get a family room so we had the super king size bed and another room with two queen size beds in.
There are five restaurants to chose from, Italian, Chinese, Mediterranean, Fish and the main buffet one (serves breakfast, lunch and dinner).
Our first morning we went to the greeting meeting with the tour operator from Fleetway Travel. We went to the meeting to discover things about the hotel, i.e., meal times, locations etc however all he was concerned with was selling excursions. Very much a let down as with a hotel the size of the Grand Azure it would have been nice to find these things out as we were only there for a week.
This is were the problems started! I've traveled to Egypt many times before and stayed in the likes of the Sheraton, Crowne Plaza, Barons Palm and have always worn smart casual clothes to dine in for the evening meals. By smart casual I mean, tailored shorts past the knee but not quite three quarter lengths with a shirt and leather sandals. We queued to get in the Italian but I got rejected entry due to my "shorts" being 2 inches to short - I argued with the manager who stated it is disrespected for males to show there legs as they have hair on? I stated that most males have hair all the way down their legs and that it doesn't start half way down the shin bone I was then granted entry. I was shocked when I got to choose my meal - god knows how this restaurant can be labeled Italian! You have a choice of three starters, five mains and three deserts! You'd expect on the main to have lasagne, spag bol, carbonara, variety of pizza but no, none of that.
I don’t want to slate the food that much as the Chinese was quite nice, not the best as the selection of courses were slim and you feel like you have your food shoved in front of you and taken away immediately - almost like a conveyor belt, once your finished - off you pop!
We did not eat in the Fish or Med restaurant so cant comment on them.
The main buffet restaurant was good at breakfast - probably the best meal of the day. At lunch many different types of chicken was served, just about warm at best. At dinner time to be honest it just appeared the same as the lunch menu with different placed of flooded to deceive the holiday makers.
The all inclusive alcohol was good however the staff were quite rude at times, for example, when you'd order a drink you would get a look of disgust and then they'd speak Arabic to there colleagues making you wonder if you'd done something wrong! This disappointed me as I was trying to get my five hundred pounds worth of alcohol as the food was awful.
My fiancé got food poisoning (I believe it was due to the lunch or dinner in the main buffet restaurant), I’m no doctor but waking up in the middle of the night with stomach cramps, feeling like vomiting and diarrhea is clearly down to the food. The cramps lasted two days and cost £20 in antibiotics from the pharmacy.
Towards the end of the holiday we began to think about the flight home and went look for the flight itinerary in the information room. There was nothing up on the wall from Fleetway Travel other than excursion information. I gave it till the last full day for information to be provided however, nothing! I asked to reception staff to contact our rep as I had no information of who he was, no number/address! The reception staff was more than willing to contact the rep but stated he would charge the call to my room, I thought he was joking, he wasn't.
At approx 8pm the night before we left we had a letter pushed under the door with the transfer time on and the flight details. To be fair I did panic a bit as I booked through Teletext and the tickets stated you had to contact the rep to confirm you will be on the return flight or the ticket and seat on the plane van be sold from under you by tour operators.
The flight home again was very poor with Excel, there was no air con whilst boarding the plane, the TV's were not working and there was no bottled water - quite bad really when the flight was over five hours!
To conclude our holiday was a let down in quite a lot of area's, the hotel, flights and illness.
I would not advise anyone to holiday at the LTI Grand Azure at all, for the same price you can stay at the Hilton or Nubian Village? I hope this review helps people as I wouldn't want others to go through what we did. This hotel is amazing to look at and read about but really its a 3* at best with the things that really matter.

Had "Deli Belly" most of the holiday, drove mad at the shows by wild English hooligans (gang of youths minus their parents doing/saying what they pleased).
The Bar next to the amphitheatre was like a children’s room in a backstreet social club (tired & grubby). Egyptian holiday makers (and their kids) we found were rude queue jumpers, most just barge in & push you out of the way in the restaurant. Hotel needs more outside bars like the "terrace bar" as this got full when the entertainment at the amphitheatre finished.
I would say the rating of 5 stars is way over I would give it 3 star max hotel is situated in lovely grounds, Coral reef brill! So was weather I would not go back to this hotel or indeed Egypt, give me Greece/Greek food/people any day.

We went to this hotel for a winter holiday, which it is advertised as, but no way is it a winter destination!
We arrived and thought we had died and gone to heaven! The place is spectacular, but the next morning found that you just could not use any of the pools, they were freezing!
Not heated at all, the sea was fine, but for the long walk, but how disappointing to have to sit around the pool, in the hot sun but not be able to use them, this was a big talking point among guests, surely some could have been heated, Sharm el Sheik is a wonderful place, but if you go in winter, it seems you can't swim at the hotel.
Also many of us got the dreaded tummy problems, service was great, too many marriage proposals and too much hassle from the locals, if you do go, ask if the pools can be used!

I have just returned from the Grand Azure Resorts in Sharm El Sheikh the holiday was an all inclusive holiday and this is my review on the resort. When we arrived at the airport we were greeted by a member of the holiday company staff who began shouting at the arriving customers with a tone that sounded as if he was fed up and not interested with a diction that could not be understood.
When we arrived at the resort we were greeted by a member of staff that was very friendly and accommodating. They could not do enough to help and from that moment on, the holiday experience was the best holiday I have ever had.
The rooms were of very high standard clean and tidy they were cleaned every day during our stay, the cleaner was very friendly and helpful, The pool area was of very high standard again clean and was constantly being cleaned through out the day, the sun beds were made of sturdy wood and not plastic.
The restaurants and there were plenty to choose from were once again very clean and well stocked, the waiters were very efficient and friendly. The only disappointment I had concerning the restaurants was that Lamb was offered at every sitting and was in various different guises, they also offered chicken but it was covered in curry sauce every day, not to my taste.
The entertainment was a full and varied program of entertainment as long as you were either Italian Or Arabic, for the English speaking audience the entertainment was limited.
Overall the resort was complete and spacious and a thoroughly enjoyable holiday and I would recommend the resort to anyone that asks me for my opinion.

I returned from Egypt yesterday and thought I would write a few comments about LTI as I cannot believe how people can give this hotel a bad rating! We arrived in Sharm on the 7th of August 06 for 2weeks and the move from the airport to the hotel was very quick.
There are a few people waiting by where you collect your cases offering you trollies but they do expect to be paid, just be polite and say No and they will leave you alone.
The drive to the hotel from the airport is really quick which is good as you just want to get there and relax! When we arrived at the LTI I was amazed to see how beautiful the lobby/reception area is.
Checking in is quick and easy just a form to fill in and then all you have to do is wait. Somebody takes your cases up to your room and then a guide will take you and show you where it is. I stayed in a double room with my partner and was on the third floor which enabled me to see the most amazing views of the whole complex, it is beautiful when lit up in the night!
We waited about 20 minutes to get our cases and tipped the bellboy 50 Egyptian pounds (5 English pounds) Well worth it as our cases were quite big and heavy and we WERE on the third floor after all!
The food in the main restaurant is ok overall; we did not eat in there every night as we liked to eat at the Chinese and Italian. The service in these restaurants in excellent and the waiters are very friendly. You do have to book 24 hours in advance but this wasn't a problem as we spent most nights in the lobby bar and was close to the restaurants anyway. We just booked before we went to bed. We also ate in the fish restaurant by the beach, this was also very tasty food. If you go, order the sea bass!
The pizza bar on the beach is lovely. The chef cooks the pizzas in front of you and they are really tasty. However be aware of queue jumpers! We often found ourselves arguing with Arabian families and German and Russians as they think that they can just push in and be served before everybody else!
We often went down to the beach for dinner in the mid day heat as it is shaded and very relaxing. We went snorkelling at the end of the jetty which was being rebuilt but this was not a problem as if you got off half way you could paddle through the water the rest of the way. This is where you get a good tan too! You will need coral shoes, you can buy these and snorkelling sets from the shop on the beach. The fish that you see are amazing and so we decided to book the Garden Reef Snorkeling trip through our rep-this is well worth the money!
The whole hotel is really clean and tidy, the gardens are beautiful, they are constantly being looked after even at 11 o'clock at night! The entertainment for the children is good around the Billiard Bar, this also has pool tables and a tennis table. The Ampitheatre shows a film once a week-it’s like a cinema outside! And this is where there are shows on too.
We spent a few nights sat at the bar where there are fans outside we nicknamed this 'The Fan Bar'. It was relaxing sat here, all the trees are lit up beautifully and music plays quietly in the background. If you are friendly to the waiters they will serve you quicker!
All of the staff are amazing, so helpful, they are really nice people. Our maid was a man named Siead he was really nice and he made swans on our beds made from towels! We tipped him 10 English pounds at the end of our stay.
Overall the holiday was terrific and I would definitely return. There is one waiter who we got on really well with in the main lobby bar his name is ESSAM-look out for him and be nice and friendly he will look after you!
Make sure you travel into Naama Bay at night and if you can go to the Hard Rock Cafe-really good night in here. And PLEASE PLEASE do not take into account the negative comments some people have left, these people must seriously have stayed somewhere else! You are bound to have an upset stomach at least once during your stay, but remember it is 52 degrees after all.

When I first arrived at the hotel with my family our initial thoughts were, 'WOW'! We were treated like royalty when we entered the hotel, our bags were taken to our rooms by the bell boys immediately and we were settled into our room without any problems, which meant a great start to our stay at the hotel.
The rooms were immaculate and there was not a spec of dust in sight! The view from the balcony was amazing as we were able to see the picturesque main pool and in the distance the Sinai mountains which was a nice way to start the day. There was plenty of space to accommodate our clothing and we needed it as we must have brought enough clothing between us to last a year!
I highly rated the pools and each one had its own unique feel about it none more so than the waterfalls pool (main pool). It had its own pool bar, many different routes to swim, breathtaking waterfalls and colossal statues which were located in the pool to make it an amazing sight. The other two pools which were less populated and of much smaller size were also very luxurious and well set out.
There were numerous restaurants which included Chinese, Italian, Fish, Mediterranean, Thai and also two other larger A la carte restaurants which served a variety of food to satisfy all the different nationalities. Although the A la carte restaurants had a variety of different dishes there was not so much diversity for the children to choose from, as chips, burgers etc were not available unless you did ask and sometimes they would cook chips for the younger ones. But on a whole the food served looked appetising and tasted lovely.
The staff at the hotel were so friendly and again were there to help us whenever we needed it! They always seemed to be there if we needed a drink, or needed our towel put on our sun bed, they were just ever so helpful, and a couple of the staff who we made friends with most definitely deserved a tip for making our stay that much better!
As I am 16 I found the local youth bar very good and a nice place to relax, play pool and have a chat with the friends that I met. It had inside its own bar which meant that you could get a drink anytime rather than having to walk up to the restaurants or even the lobby.
There was one disappointment though which was the nightly entertainment. It was rather repetitive and not really entertaining apart from some nights when belly dancing was on the agenda, but apart from that it was rather substandard.
Although the beach was very relaxing and luxurious it was not suitable for young children as you could not walk straight into the sea but instead you have to walk out onto a jetty which was in some parts unstable and would not be safe for younger children.
The sites of the coral and fish under the sea was amazing and it is well worth buying a snorkelling set and doing it yourself, it’s an awe-inspiring experience!
Whilst on our stay in Egypt we had to visit Cairo and the pyramids and what an amazing adventure it was! It’s definitely worth visiting Cairo to see the sights and sounds of this amazing place, especially the narrow market streets which is definitely an eye opening experience.
Last but not least, a trip to naama bay is worth while. It is full of shops, lively bars and the best thing a KFC!! Which were hard two come by in Sharm! It livens up at night with nightclubs and the bars coming to life and is very good for outgoing and people who are looking to have a good time.
So, overall I highly recommend the LTI Grand Azure hotel and would more than likely return in the near future!

When me and my family first arrived at the airport I was very scared and worried about are stay in Egypt as I’d never been to a country like this, the airport was quite busy and sum people try and help you with your suitcase and then expect tips but as long as you don’t leave it unattended and just say no if they ask you’ll be fine.
When we first arrived at the hotel it looks amazing from the outside and I have never had people take are bags to are rooms for us carrying them up the stairs and it is still very very warm at night with a nice breeze the reception area is amazing and very relaxing.
The swimming pool area and beach area is perfect especially for families, my sister was on the water slides all day so you don’t have to worry about them and there is lifeguards around the pool area the beach is also amazing but the jetty was still being built so we couldn’t go all the way out.
The night entertainment was ok there was some funny parts but it was quite repetitive but the area for it was perfect
The food is good there, there’s a lot to offer at all times of the day but its not always food like back home but you can’t expect that in a different country. There’s also a Chinese restaurant which was lovely, an Italian and there was a few others which we didn’t go to.
And well the people, I have never been to a place were the people can’t do enough for you they are so friendly and kind if you need any think they do it for you the waiters were especially friendly they only fing was a lot of them kept asking to marry me and sell me for camels to my dad but they were just trying to be funny and you realise that all the attention you get is just them being friendly with tipping at the hotel you just tip the people you feel have made your holiday and at restaurants and bars outside the hotel just tip your waiter.
Also Namma bay is excellent the shops and restaurants and lovely a lot of people try get you to come into there shops but is just a simple no!! that works and also a wicked place to go in the evenings is the blackhouse its a nightclub all the reps also go there so if you need any help there at all you know someone and the shuttle bus runs from the hotel to there and back
Overall an absolutely wicked holiday can’t explain how nice the people are the hotel is brilliant, no problems with the rooms and also the trips are excellent never seen anything like it before that was the Bedouin experience and snorkelling
and can’t wait to go back
I would also like to thank Mahod from down at the kids bar who worked in the evenings as a waiter you really made are holiday and thanks for everything you done 4 us such a lovely person.
We're definitely coming back next year.

Overall, a great holiday, one of the best so far. The grounds of the hotel was amazing to look at, so clean. The pools were huge and clean. There was always sun beds if you look round at the 3 different pools (you will have to look round to find a sun bed but if you look you will always find one! Or ask at the towel bars. Its part of the holiday!) The food was good, there was always something we found we liked, and the waiters were always helpful and on hand.
At night there was 3 bars open, we found our favourite and that was open till 12 at night but the other bars were open till 2a.m. The service was always given with a smile. It sometimes got quite busy but that was only on the days the world cup matches were on! The bar staff were so easy to get along with. And they always made you feel welcome and cheery. The staff were great with small children as well as the older children (and parents).
The snorkeling was amazing, the amount of different fish in the shallow water was mind blowing! I would definitely recommend buying a snorkeling set and going.
Me and my daughter will be going again next year and all I can say that if you have booked we are very jealous and would love to be in your shoes!
Have a good one!

We have just come back after a week at this hotel and I have got to say the hotel is immaculate you cannot fault it. The food is great not much choice in the al a carte restaurants. The Italian and the seafood were our favourites.
The main buffet restaurant is very good to. The show at night was a little weird as we did not get it but the Russians seemed to find it funny (well enough said) we went on the boat trip which is exclusive to Med Hotels the private yacht and is very impressive and well worth the money. We never once heard of any body with upset stomachs and we never had it.
Weather was great clear blue skies definitely bikini weather but the pools are Bloody freezing after 20 mins or so it gets better. The only fault we have with this hotel is our room was facing the restaurant and we could hear very loud music starting at 1.30 am until 3.00 am and you had to get really drunk so you could not hear it. It was coming from the hotel next door but 1. We did complain but nothing was done.
All in all great hotel very friendly staff who work so hard they are only on £30.00 a month so we did tip. Hope it helps.
