Phevos Villa

Myself and my husband stayed here for a week, Giorgios and Anna were very welcome hosts and were accomodating to our requests. The rooms were basic (as many are in Greece) but clean. The kitchen area was basic but as eating out in Santorini is cheaper than eating in - we didn't mind. When we were there, most of the other residents were couples or families with older children and this was ideal for us. We are in the middle of our third visit to Phevos villa. The Villa is of classical Santorini architectural design and we have never experienced caring family service such as we always receive here any where else in the world.. It is so enjoyable that we spend most evenings at the Villa,s bar nibbling "meze" and drinking with our hosts George and Anna. In fact last night was my birthday and George prepared a magnificent selectinon of "meze" and we sat up drinking and eating and laughing till 3am. Beautiful kept studios in a great location, The buildings were in keeping with the tradition of Santorini and thats what we liked and so peaceful too. Why this place is rated a 2* is beyond us. I urge any one to pay a visit as the surrounding area is amazing, the views from the rooms look out to a beautiful monastry built into the rock (its a good climb up but you can do it) Try Michalos tavern for food its on the front by the bus terminal, excellent service and great greek traditional food. Hello myself and 6 friends stayed at Phevos Villa for a week beginning of July and we loved it. The rooms are basic but very clean the pool is great and Georgios and his family are lovely hosts. The Villa is away from the main part of town so nice and quiet but it only takes you 5 mins to walk into Perissa town which has loads of resturants and bars to suit all ages and price ranges. Top tip Santorini is vey hot but can also get very windy so even in the hotter months you might need a light cardigan at night
