Better Than Any 5 Star Hotel
I stay all around the Uk for Business and Pleasure purposes. And this has to be one of the best hotels i have stayed in. The Staff could not do enough, Breakfast you can eat all you can. So filled up for the day. The only downside is not enough car parking on site however for £4.50 you can park on site with secure parking knowing that your vehicle and contents are safe. As other hotels in the area charge upto £12 to park. location you are a stones through away from everything in the city. GREAT STAY, WILL BOOK... more
Be very careful booking with Premier Inn
Their booking system is flawed and if you go back on anything the date changes from your booking to the current date! They have no customer service standards at all, when you write to them they don't reply, when you ring they don't ring back, if you e-mail they ignore it so very shoddy all together, the only response they could manage was a standard note saying they would make sure it would not happen to anyone else but they will still keep your payment! as family we will never give any whitbread establishment a further penny.
Premier Inn's Usual high standards
Stayed here Fri - Sun August bank holiday weekend. If you have stayed in Premier Inn's before, you'll be familiar with their usual high standards and this one doesn't disappoint. It was full but from the inside you wouldn't have known - we rarely heard any noise at all. It was a little noisy outside in the morning (laundry delivery, bottle empyting) but it didn't bother us. Check in (and out) was quick and easy. Staff very friendly and helpful throughout the hotel. Well situated for easy access into the centre - we used the... more
Friendly, helpful staff and a good location.
I stayed at the Premier Inn in Chester on an August bank holiday visit to the city, after seeing mainly positive reviews of the hotel here on Trip Advisor. The staff at the hotel were very friendly. I was checked in by Vicky, who was welcoming and helpful. When she learned that I was planning to visit Chester Zoo the next day, she gave me useful information on catching the free shuttle bus to the zoo. The hotel seems safe and secure, with internal corridor doors needing a room key to unlock them. The rooms were clean, and fine. The... more
Clean, convenient, quiet and outstanding customer service
Lovely modern bedroom, very clean, comfy beds, beautiful bathroom plenty of room, brilliant location, couple of minutes walk from the main street. I have never in my life stayd in such a quiet hotel, infact we asked reception if we were the only people staying there, but their response was that they were full. customer service was fantastic, genuinely interested in what our plans were for the day and on our return always asked if we had enjoyed ouselves. I will always stay here when I am visiting Chester and infact I am planning another... more
Eh...nothing special
We found this hotel was clean with a good location being close to both the train station and the city center. However we found it to be noisy (hen and stag nights), we had problems with the heat/air conditioning, and the price for value was bad. We would have prefered to pay a bit more and had a nicer hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would definatly stay at other premere inns, I am on the fence if I would stay at this one.
Great location - only a short walk to amenities
Have stayed at Premier Inns lots of times - was nice to find this newly opened one in Chester for a two day break. Easy walking distance to park/canal/river/city centre etc. Staff were excellent - some of the friendliest and most helpful we have come across at any Premier Inn. So friendly actually persuaded us to pay for the breakfast! (Which we usually don't have because you can usually find one cheaper nearby!) But I have to say it was a very good breakfast and the restaurant staff were very polite and game for a laugh! Actually enjoyed... more
Great hotel, great staff, great location, great stay
My weekend stay at The Premier Inn Chester City Centre was perfect. The location is great - very quick walking distance from shops, bars, restaurants etc. The subway is not too good, but you can walk on the road, or along the canal, so it is avoidable. The rooms are very good value for money, very clean and comfortable, and staff are very helpful and friendly. The buffet breakfast was very good. The hotel carpark is £4.50 per night, but considering many hotels charge £10-£15 per night, I felt that £4.50 was very reasonable for a... more
Beware when staying at Premier Inn, Chester
My wife and I have been on holiday from Romania touring UK. We were looking forward to our visit to Chester and knwe what to expect having stayed in many Premier Inns before. If you pay cash for your syat beleive us, Premier Inns promise of a full refund if your sleep is distrubed is absolute rubbish. 54 foreign lorry drivers were in the hotel. They were back up drivers for the U2 Tour and came from Portugal and UK. All night long they were in and out of the hotel. Banging doors and keeping us awake. We compalnied thinking the... more
Staff were great
And so was everything else - it only opened in Feb but the staff are determined to keep it looking good. Buffet breakfast was good and the one dinner we had was absolutely fine. Nothing special but hot, fresh looking (even the peas) and served quickly. It is close to the City Centre but the not so nice subway can be avoided. Go out of the hotel through the car park, turn left and walk along the canal - a lovely walk in itself - the staff will give you a map and direct you.
Another good premier inn
Just returned from a one night stay in the new premier inn in Chester City Centre. We have always had pretty good experiences in premier inns so this met all our expectations. Rooms were standard, very clean, good tv - at last they have all the freeview channels, great for kids. We had a bathroom with bath too which was nice suprise as was expecting just a shower. Location is very convenient, less than 5 min walk into the main shopping area, then less than a 10min drive to chester zoo. Its not the nicest walk into the centre, you... more
