Staybridge Suites Newcastle

Arrived at 09.30 in the morning and was immediately shown to our room. As the hotel is new the room was in really pristine condition. Bathroom towels were thick and luxurious. There is aways complimentary tea/coffee available in the hotel lounge but beware the chocholate chip biscuits are not calorie free. Breakfast which was included in the room price is ok but I have had better selections. If I was staying in Newcastle again it would be at this hotel.

I want to keep this short and sweet. This place is outstanding in every respect. If anyone had a problem staying here then get help, you need it.

This is a seriously good hotel - A great concept ("Home from Home") means you feel comfortable from the moment you check in, in fact you feel like a privedged guest (which is very unusual and other hotels should take note - we are paying guests not an uninvited annoyance!). I stayed here 22/04/09, I cannot fault this establishment, from the Front of House team right through to Housekeeping. Warm friendly welcome, great advice on local amenities/pubs clubs. Rooms are superb, Galley kitchen, workspace for laptops (free wifi) and eating, 32" LCD Tv in the living area, Kingsize bed duvet and crisp cool linen, and a 28" LCD Tv in the bedrooms, and a well sized bathroom. As a frequent traveller mainly staying in Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza hotels I thought I would try this new Holiday Inn franchise when having a city break away with my wife. I have to say I was seriously impressed. The Hotel is newly built and the quality of the rooms is up there with the best executive level hotels. This aparthotel is a real find. Having stayed at all types and ranges of hotels across the world this really rates in my book as one of the best I've stayed at. The whole place was very welcoming from the moment I stepped through the door. The reception staff were the best I have encountered for a long time and were very keen and proud to show off their hotel. Me and my partner stayed in the hotel on a wednesday evening last week, on arrival we were greeted by two very happy young gentlemen that were more than happy to help us with our early arrival. On check in at the hotel we were given a full tour of the hotel (very nice touch) that allowed us to settle in and feel right at home, which we were told was the whole point. I booked the hotel online the night before I was due to travel as I only received confirmation of the trip on that day. The main reason I booked was that it was close to the location I was going to be working in but I was amazed at the quality of the room advertised for the price quoted, around £8 a night more than a nearby Premier Inn, but with so much more for the price. A brilliant new hotel close to the city hub and vibrant Quayside. Extremely comfortable and roomy suites with tasteful furnishings. A new concept with suites having a well equipped, smart kitchen area for self catering if that's your wish, or use of a friendly communal dining and lounge area on the ground floor, including a pantry style shop. This hotel had only opened for buisness 5 days before my arrival so we were a little concerned that the facilities/service wouldn't be up to much. We live within an hour of Newcastle but because we commute down South weekly, we like to stay in the city for a night out. There is a private car park to the back of the 'hotel' which is very secure. We had a room on the 6th (top) floor with a view of the Millenium Bridge and the Tyne Bridge with the Baltic Museum opposite us on the other side of the Tyne, perfect! Excellent, brand new hotel situated just near the Milennium Bridge. All new, so spotlessly clean. We had a spacious room ( a suite) on the top floor complete with mini kitchen (microwave, dishwasher, fridge, hob, all utensils). Large king size bed, very comfy. Great welcome from the hotel staff. Breakfast included was excellent, sausages, omelettes, cereal, fruit - everything you could want, all freshly made and top quality.
