Lavenham Old Rectory

Our stay at the Old Rectory was outstanding in all respects. Susie and her daughter are perfect hosts: charming, welcoming and friendly. They also have a very good chef. The Old Rectory itself is a beautiful Georgian building restored by Susie to the highest standard we've ever seen, providing tasteful, luxurious accommodation in a style sympathetic to the building while offering contemporary facilities. I don’t normally write reviews – but had to in this case – the Lavenham Old Rectory is such high quality accommodation. On arrival we were greeted by the owner Susie – a very warm and welcoming hostess. Lavenham Old Rectory is a chic Bed and Breakfast – no exaggeration this place is lovely. We have just returned from staying at this wonderful Old Rectory and feel that it is such a beautiful place it is surely worthy of passing on our thoughts. It offers quiet, serenity and peaceful luxury. Its three suites offer elegant, pristine, spacious and luxurious places to relax, feel pampered and special. This is the first time I have been motivated to write a review on Trip Advisor. This relatively new up-market bed & breakfast, on the edge of the pretty and historic village of Lavenham is truly special. The pictures on the website give a very good impression, and they are in no way exaggerated. Booked for our anniversary stay in Lavenham. Arrived just after dusk at a fab C18th house. Warmly greeted by the owner's daughter who showed us around the house and rooms. We stayed in the De Vere room, overlooking the rear gardens. Gorgeously styled room with a four-poster, soft comfy bed and a pristine bathroom. Lots to choose from in the morning for breakfast and they boast a good chef too who can rustle up a perfectly poached egg!
