Yann's at Glenearn House

This was our first time away from the children, 3 & 1, and we chose Yanns because of the comments on this site. However, I know previous comments state how great it is but you must really go to discover this little gem yourself. There are five rooms and ours was beautifully decorated and very clean so I can safely assume that the rest are of the same standard. We wanted a quick get away, but didn't want to compromise on quality. The house and surroundings were beautiful. From our room the view was stunning. We had a very tasty meal, and I was glad I did not order a starter as the portions were huge! The room was very spacious and comfortable, decorated with modern wall paper giving it a young fresh feel. I would have rated Yann's an excellent apart from a few minor details. Busy weekend, and several B&B places known to be full so we weren't too hopeful of a last-minute room arriving around 6.30pm. However got the last one! Restaurant fully-booked, and it looked like an 8.30pm meal but that doesn't suit Mrs tummy. But we were squeezed in at 7, which worked well. All part of a friendly welcome. Room was good: comfy bed, nice big shower. Dinner was excellent - really good food and service in a venue that was clearly popular.

Lovely place to stay in Crieff, rooms tastefully decorated and comfortable, hosts welcoming, breakfast excellent and meal in the restaurant superb.

I stayed a Yann's with my fiance and 9 year old Daughter for 1 night last Summer. It's fantastic, one of the best places I've stayed by far. It's stylish, the rooms are lovely and well equipped, the welcome is warm and the atmosphere is relaxed. We had lunch in the restaurant which was delicious. My fiance is still raving about Yann's home made tomato soup now, months later. Breakfast was fab, with a great choice to eat and 5 star service.
