DON'T STAY IN THIS DUMP!
Please don't stay here! We were only staying for 1 night, thank god, we knew we couldn't check in until 3pm, arrived 1.30pm by coach entered Travelodge noone at reception (there never is) waited for someone to appear very grumpy women said she couldn't help us then walked away, then came Nathan I think his name was, very rude told us there was nowhere to leave our bags but for 10 quid you could get into your room early! By this time it was 2pm so we only had an hour to wait, paid the £10, was then told we don't have any clean rooms but you... more
value for money
situated very close to pleasure peach and south pier, this is an ideal location if that is what you want. Bus, tram and open top sightseeing tour travel all stops on main prom, just outside tyravellodge. Large swimming pool next to south pier. newsagent and sandwich shop also very close/convenient. rooms were small with very limited storage, but had what we needed for a 2 night stay. card door key system was a bit of a let down as they hardly worked. This is frustrating and wastes time going back to reception.<br... more
worth every penny
stayed here after leaving a very bad hotel in blackpool. What a lovely clean place all staff were very friendly and helpfull. breakfast in the morning was very good with all you can eat. full english, toast, cereals, fruit, yogurts, loads of choice. our room which was a double had an shower en-suite very clean spotless and the room had no faults at all. well done travelodge. will stay here again wont even bother looking around even the teens were impressed with their rooms this travelodge better for familes as you dont get the rowdy stag and... more
Basic but clean
This hotel was built very recently so all the fixtures and fittings were very new. It was disappointing to find a dirty toilet and mould on the wall, and the bed was possibly the springiest I have ever slept upon. The single pillow was wafer-thin, and although there was another one provided, I would have needed about sixteen to make it worthwhile. The windows only open a tiny fraction, so it's not possible to get enough fresh air into them. The room was a good size but there were no tables or drawers beside the bed, and only a tiny... more
Didn't expect too much
£90 for 2 nights with kids including breakfast was really good value for money. The hotel was very clean on the plus side. When we arrived we were given a double room instead of a family room, we changed without any problems, but the family room they gave us did not have any bedding for the children. The beds were rock hard. We didnt get much sleep and then someone let off the fire alarm at 5am in the morning for a joke. At breakfast we had to clean our table ourselves, the staff seemed run off their feet, and quite grumpy, we did... more
Travelodge Blackpool South Promenade
I booked this hotel for me my partner and two children. When we arrivied it was at 5.20 pm we checked in went to the room it was nice and clean apart from the bin in the bathroom had dirty sanatriy towels in the bin and all the cups were dirty it had sour coffie. They were only one hand towel in the room as we had traveld three hours we need to shower for a family of 4 a hand towel was not enough. The room never had any bedding for the children we had to ask for this. i though this would all have been sorted prior to us arriving. We... more
Not the best experience
We arrived at Travelodge Blackpool, (Next to the pleasure beach) to be advised that the rooms we had booked online and paid in full were double booked!! I travelled with my two children, sister in law and niece, and we were 1 family among many others who were put in the same situation. A manager was sent from another Travelodge to try and sort out the mess. We were eventually given our rooms at 8.30pm and refunded. I was booked into a family room which consisited of a double bed and a sofa bed which was fine, clean and tidy,... more
Service not good
My wife and i have just returned from this hotel, and i must say that having stayed at many other travel lodges which we have found great value. This was bad. when we booked in, (4.30) the couple in front came down to complain that there room had not been made up from the previous guests. And with not so much as a sorry from reception, That should have sent alarm bells ringing.when we arrived at our room it was small. Very basic. not even 1 drawer to put clothes in. To watch the flat screen TV one had to stand up otherwise you could not... more
The new style of Travelodge - they have shrunk the rooms!
Regular T/L users will notice that the rooms in this brand new building are smaller than in others of the brand. Space has been saved by cutting back on the desk area, removing the storage space beside the entrance or bathroom, wall mounting the flat screen tv etc. The only clothes storage is a wall mounted hanging rail which will hold about 10 hangers, and mounted so that the clothes are facing you rather than sideways on. The reduced room size and small storage space will make the family rooms very cramped for anything longer... more
One Word. Brilliant.
Keeping It Short... Lovely rooms, clean and spacious. The staff were very friendly and polite and couldn't help enough. Morning breakfast was amazing, all you can eat and the food was top notch. If only the Royal Windsor were similar (moved to lodge to here). Would definetly use again. Thankyou.
Cheap but tasteful
We spent our Christmas at this new hotel and enjoyed every moment there. Not only did we get a good deal as we booked during the special offer week and got our three night deal for only £36 for a family of 3, the staff were excellent! Every single one of them was polite and answered all our needs. The hotel itself was very clean with towel changes on all days. The ensuite family room situated on the 1st floor was adequate for the 3 of us and located in a quiet part of Blackpool. We were right opposite the Pleasure Beach so suspect that this... more
