Lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings. Comfortable, quiet and very relaxing. Breakfasts delicious. Views from living room of field complete with ponies , trees and hills. Pretty garden with very busy bird table. Lynne is a great cook - we had an evening meal on the day we arrived and it was excellent. Take your own wine - Lynne provides the glasses and chills the wine. Nothing is too much trouble. Plenty to see and do in the area plus lovely walks. We will be returning.

Callaly cottage nestles in the Northumberland countryside close to the picturesque village of Whittingham. From this lovely location we enjoyed trips out to nearby Cragside House and Alynwick Castle. Heading out a little bit further bought us to Seahouses and a lovely trip around the Farne Islands and just up the coast the golden sand at Bambough. Callaly cottage was a fatastic accommodation choice for us both. The rooms were wonderfull, clean and very, very large - with a propriter who went out of her way to ensure our stay was a good one. Home made bread with locally sourced breakfast produce - Yum. Callaly was an all round hit and neither of us were able to find a single fault throughout our stay! We will return.

This place was great. It fitted the bill for everything we were looking for for a short valentines weekend away from it all and once there we really didn't want to leave. The food was absolutely outstanding, Lyn really is a great cook. Not only does she cater to your every need food wise, she went that extra mile to make everything perfect during our stay. Everything about our stay with Lyn, our fabulous land lady, was first class. Our welcome was warm and friendly, the B+B was beautiful and the setting was stunning. The local area is full of surprises with lots to do and see, in particular the coast line which on a warm day is the best place to spend a lazy afternoon with or without the kids.
