Church Farm Caravan Park (Haven Holidays)

Just returned from a great break, had previously stayed with Haven at Hastings and that was dreadful. This park was far superior. Staff were lovely. Area was clean.Easy to locate everything . Convenience store was good and wells tocked. Pool good and kids loved the bikes . the caravan was prestige select and was roomy and had all the facilites we needed. felt safe and the place was relaxing. Cant wait to book again. we had heating in the bedrooms and bathrooms and would recommend this .

Having already been to a parks in Norfolk and Devon, we knew what to expect but I have to say Church farm was a nice site. We didn't have any trouble finding reception having read the sign! The caravan was o.k (superior plus), carpet needed a good wash but was livable. We realised we had no bedding at 11p.m. but after a quick call to security, some was delivered pronto. This was our fist time on a ' Haven ' holiday, so not sure what to expect.We booked a 3 bed prestige caravan and was pleasantly surprised at the genorous size and comfort. The ony down side was there was only 1 toilet and the walls were rather thin!! The facilities were adequate for my 8 year old. The highlight was the indoor pool ( too cold for the outdoor one). Stayed first week in school holidays (busy busy) Reception very hard to find!! Lack of information on facilities quite frustrating and place is geared for above 6 year olds. (So many things to do with older children) I visited from overseas so expected some sort of welcome to the local area guide. There was nothing at all, in the caravan. Paid through the nose for deluxe caravan and was very worth it, thought the gas bottle was empty which meant we couldnt wash the kids before bed. We booked a cheap sun deal and then paid extra for an upgrade to a "luxury caravan". What we got was a standard plus caravan. Perhaps a little more honesty in the brochure would of been better? The caravan was horrible. It smelt musty and damp, there were nasty stains on the carpets, the bathroom was mouldy and the fixtures rusty, the cupboards had not been cleaned, the bedding was thin and ancient (and smelly), the appliances were decrepit and short circuited our main electric supply twice during our stay. We went to Chuch Farm with the £9.50 Sun holidays so got a really good price for our long weekend. Our caravan was one of the nicest we have stayed it, large, clean and well equipped. The site is beautiful with lots of things having been built for 2009. The grounds are well kept, the indoor and outdoor pools are great, clubhouse is new and very nice. There is quite a lot for the kids to do during the day with kids clubs etc. Try and take a walk around the park and explore as it is surrounded by a lovely lagoon and leads out to the sea... more

Paid £49 plus £6 insurance for a 4 day mid week break . Just the wife, who is wheel chair bound ,and myself. Basic caravan but very clean and well equipped and in good order. Apart from the onsite shop (expensive) we did not use the facilities the club had to offer prefering to be out and about. They responded to my request that my wifes disability be accounted for by giving us the caravan closest to the amenities. You cannot ask for better than that. This was a last minute booking by my husband!! During school holiday week. My daughter wanted to take a friend - her friend didn't have a passport - so Britain it was!! I had never been to a Haven site before - we were told to check in at 2.30 - everyone went into an entertainment room for that time. A member of staff appeared and a dash was made to form a queue to obtain the keys to the caravan. We all then left to find our vans for the next few days. The van was clean and well equipt. Perfect for the Kids A main clubhouse - with (heated) indoor / outdoor swimming pool Indoor arcade indoor safe play area - bit old and falling apart but kids loved it tennis courts , go carts for hire Stage area, which daily live shows, for kids and adults.
