The Brew House Hotel

My wife booked this hotel for me as a birthday surprise and needless to say, i was not disappointed. From the minute we arrived, the reception staff were so friendly and welcoming, even wishing me a happy birthday. The room (205) was wonderful and spacious, with superb lighting. The en-suite was huge with a big walk in shower. We dined in the restaurant which was very well priced (£27.95 for two, to include two courses, a bottle of house red/white, coffee and foccacia bread) and seemed extremely focused on using local ingredients.... more

This is withouht doubt the best hotel we have ever stayed in in the UK. My wife and I are fans of posh hotels for mini-breaks and decided to go somewhere a bit different this time. Despice only being 45 minutes from our home, neither of us knew Tunbridge Wells at all but we took a leap into the unknown by booking two nights (a Sunday and a Monday) in February. Having looked at the hotels website my expectations were fairly high - The Brew House totally exceeded this - from the beautifully appointed rooms (furnished to the highest standard) to the gorgeous restaurant. The staff are fabulous - friendly, helpful and made my friends and I feel more than welcome. All that you need for a night away is provided under the one roof - no need to venture out - there is nowhere better in Tunbridge Wells - we had a great night and can't wait to return - it won't be long ...

Quite liked the location in a residential road although there is no hotel car park. Hotel has been fitted out very well and to great expense although the staff seem very young, lacking knowledge and inexperienced for a hotel that pushes top prices - enjoyed food and wine.

we stayed at the hotel in sept,hotel was great, nice people room was great to, nice food, but expensive. tunbridge wells was very nice for shopping, the hotel is in a good location we could'nt find fault with it, we would recomened it to anyone with out a worry.

A fantastic place for a night away. Not cheap but great value for money. Superb rooms with very high specs and enthusiastic attentive staff. Good location to get to lots of places to eat and drink; although the Hotel's own bar and restaurant looked great. If you do head out to eat and drink do at least have a swift Raspberry Martini before you go!

Nothing was too much trouble for these guys. As they say, you get what you pay for. Some may think this place is expensive. But look at the facilities, attention to detail, location and top class aspirations. Most expensive part of staying here is closeness to Pantiles....a must for a stroll and window shopping. If I had one complaint.....so many switches in rooms often turned on wrong thing...but great fun finding out how everything worked. Then we fused lighting...easy just flip switch in room.

This hotel was amazing. We stayed there the night after our wedding on 18th May 2008. Our room was amazing with such attention to detail. On arrival we had champagne in our room and we relaxed by listening to the Bang and Olufsen TV and stereo (All appliances are B & O). The bathroom was outstanding, with Hermes toiletries, robes, slippers etc... and a double person walk in shower - not to mention the glass wall that encased the bathroom (that turned a cool blue on entering the bathroom!!). Booked the Brew House after stumbling upon it on internet, and what a find! Planned a night away with husband for our wedding anniversary and wanted something special. When we arrived it was raining hard and we couldn't find anywhere to park, so parked outside hotel and took luggage into hotel where they told us to give them the keys for them to park the car, was pleasantly surprised by this. Having booked at anther hotel in Tunbridge Wells originally about 4 weeks ago (The Wells), we received an email the day before from expedia to say that the hotel was now full and they had 'upgraded' us to the Brew House. Obviously we were suspicious but their web site looked good. A brand new proper boutique hotel (10 rooms) with a brasserie restaurant and wine bar downstairs. Live jazz on weekends helps create a really welcoming atmosphere. We stayed here on the Sunday night deal that included dinner (from the ENTIRE a la carte menu), fabulous bed, and cooked breakfast.
