Riviera Maya Suites

After a hotel mix up, we walked down the beach to find a nice place to stay - we found that the further north you go, the newer/nicer the hotels & condos generally get. We stopped in at Riviera Maya to check prices and see a room - we were not disappointed and booked immediately. The most relaxing week of our lives - the incredible jungle garden walk through the Las Palapas property was so lush and green, then the beach had shaded straw umbrellas to keep you cool. We have stayed at many resorts around Playa and believe we have found our perfect paradise. In fact, never before have we planned on returning to the same hotel. I wasn't sure if we would like staying at a condo-hotel since we are used to staying at 5 star all-inclusive type resorts. I am so glad we took the leap. Sure you don't have the over-the-top fancy decor, humongous pool, or the 24 hour room service of an all-inclusive. We had a wonderful time!!! This was a family vacation including small grandkids and it met our needs very well. Somewhat hard to find initially, but worth the effort. We had one maintenance problem with a shower, but it was immediately addressed. Staff was extremely helpful (including recommendations about restaurants, etc) The beds are a little hard, but the overall experience overshadows. This is a great place, very spacious appartments (most of them with a fantastic ocean view) and only some meters away from the beach. Very helpful reception lady (e.g. trip advises, local restaurants). Will come back soon!

Your always a bit skeptical when renting a condo in a different country, but let me telly you; this place is 5 -star... New facility/great service/location location location.... 100 yards from the mamaita's/kool beach, fantastic view and walking distance from downtown.... Don't bother with any other condo's, this is the perfect spot and affordable. Next time I'm in Playa Del Carmen, I'm stayin @ the Riviera Maya Suites....

We loved this place, it was quiet and peaceful yet convienient for the activity in PDC. The grounds were wonderful we loved the wildlife, the birds lizards and coati's. The staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. The view from the third floor was spectacular with the lights of Cozumel visible at night. Beach music went off early. if your looking for peace and quiet this is hard to beat, but like anywhere quiet is very dependant on the other guests.

We took our family of 5 over Christmas to Playa del Carmen for vacation. Kids ages were 21, 18 and 15. We all had a fabulous time. Riviera Maya Suites suited us perfectly, as we had plenty of space for all of us. We had a king bed and 2 doubles, plus 2 full bathrooms, and a kitchen, so we were able to have snacks and even a few meals when we felt like it! We were within walking distance to an excellent beach, as well as walking distance to 5th Avenue, where you could shop almost all night! We had the best of both worlds!! The people... more
