Tune Hotel - worst budget hotel
from Hotelier1983
Just stayed at the Tune from 31.12.2008 - 03.01.2009. I usually dont stay at those properties since I am hotelier by myself and like to see the hotel-hotspots in the city, however this time I decided to stay downtown in KL at a hotel with a rate of approx. 20 EUR. Need to say that I never did that before. Check was smoth, room was ready for c/i immideatly. Room 205 was the first one I got. The door closed behind me and I stood in a almost humid room with a temp. of 28 deg. Celsius - unaccaptable. Found out a minute later that the A/C is...

No security
from adilb
Decent level of cleanliness and comfort, reasonable price, but no security :( the cleaning people stole my shopping bag from inside the room! I reported the case to the police but I never saw my bag again. Don’t go to Tune hotel if you have anything valuable.
Air Asia's Budget Hotel
from The_Rottweiler
My 2nd stay at this budget hotel in the center of downtown Kuala Lumpur as I was looking for a budget hotel that gave me access to the golden triangle of Kuala Lumpur shopping. Very basic room, small and catered for people who just need a place really to sleep and nothing more. Shower and toilet facilities in the room are adequate, but small, clean rooms but noise levels are going to be noisier as the windows are not sound proof and if you happen to be facing the main street during the work week, its something you will have to...

Decent budget hotel
from MWSydney
I stayed here for one week early July '08. It is what they say it is - the hotel equivalent of an Air Asia flight. Bare bones, no extras but decent basics. I got what I expected, no more no less. I was happy with my stay, no complaints & will most likely stay there again when I'm in KL. I think the location is good - Abdul Rahman is an interesting street to walk down, it felt like being in India in the 1950s. The hotel is also pretty close to the monorail & the elevated railway. When I checked out I dragged my...

Quite Good for a Budget Hotel
from vjie83
For a budget hotel, Tune Hotel is more professional. Uniform for staffs and friendly staffs. Not much in the room, but just for sleeping is more than enough. The bathroom is small but compact. Location of the hotel is quite ok. 2 minutes away from Monorail Station. Opposite of a shopping mall. But at the junction of the road is a bit noisy for the room near the room. In a nut shell, Tune Hotel worth for a stay.
a no flirt hotel
from pl0123
This is a panel hotel of Air Asia, budget airline. If you book online, you can get a very cheap rate for a room. The room that I got was very small, simple and basic. Ceiling fan and air-conditioning are provided. For use of air-con, I need to pay extra. The thing is I can not check how many balance hour I have with the receiption before I paid more to extend the use of this air-con. It is better if the hotel provide or upgrade their system which can review or reveal the used hours and balance hours for air-con in the guests'...

Well worth the money
from chenth
We stayed at Tune Hotel during the first week of its opening in April 2007, Tune Hotel is a no-frills hotel. It does not come with room service. The rooms come in either single bed or a queen-sized bed. There are no twin beds option. You cannot have an extra bed either. There is no space to put any. The mattress is comfortable. There is a small rack attached to the wall above the bed where one can put small items. However, you will have to put your luggage bags on the floor as there are no tables or cabinets. There are...

Just a place to sleep - if you don't mind DAMP bedsheets.
from DLPA
As soon as I saw the room I wanted to check out again. The bare bones was not what put me off - I was more concerned on the smell of the room (one smelt stale and the other smelt of pee), the dirty toilet - hair was left in the bathroom and the floor was not thoroughly cleaned, and the DAMP beds. Apparently the air conditioners don't allow for ventilation in the room and adds more moisture to the air so the bedding is constantly damp. Eurgh. Apparently this is a constant problem throughout the hotel. One good note about this hotel is...

Cheap and simple with Ikea touch
from herbina
The previous review tells it all. However, I must add that I didn't like the "closed bottle" feeling in the room. Meaning that the Ikea shelf above the bed was moldy and the air/moisture didn't move anywhere from the bathroom. Anyhow, Tune is cheap and the location is ok and the bed was great, so I would definitely recommend it for travellers on a budget who just need a place to sleep.
No-frills, you get what you pay for
from Tequila888
Tune Hotels is a new chain of No-frill hotels in Malaysia associated with the no-frill airline - Airasia. This is a review for their first hotel located near Medan Tuanku monorail station. It opened for business in April 2007 and though some taxi drivers still don't know where it is, its quite hard to miss the signature white and red stripes of the building when you're driving around the area. The hotel lobby is small and consists of the check-in desk, a convenience store, a cafe, foreign exchange counter, ATM machine, and two...
