Haadson Resort

Thank you to TripAdvisor member “Karimia” for providing the above comments. This client made a last minute booking for 4Nights, arriving on the 1st of January. In their email correspondence with Haadson during their booking process, the clients requested for a room with ocean views, which our reservations responded (in the exact words): “Our rooms have either lagoon views (the Villas), or the CoconutRooms have garden views. Please note that our lobby & restaurant is located on the beach front, on Bangsak Beach. Bangsak is great beach for swimming/sunbathing (photos on website)…On the beachfront is the beach access road & promenade roughly 5m. wide”… Thus, we were extremely surprised to read that the clients were not aware of the public road or as we call it, the beach access road & public promenade because this was made very clear to them prior to their booking confirmation. This news year day coincided with a long 5 day weekend here in Thailand, which is why the beach was unusually full of people. However, we apologise not only to this client, but also to our other clients who were with us on the 1st of January 2009 for the amount of noise pollution generated from the 3-4 cars with their illegal subwoofers. Our reception staff did alert the police to the situation, but they proved slow to react. We admit that the clients were extremely unlucky checking into Haadson on that day as the events & amount of people that the clients witnessed was a one-off situation. The client is correct in stating that they were here on the ‘noisiest holidays!!!”, but the clients took a picture of the beach road and termed it, “street on a quieter day…” – which is highly misleading; On the days prior to or after, the beach was not at all packed with automobiles. Basically for everyday of the year, Bangsak beach is empty – with the beach itself being exactly like the pictures on our website. With regards to the shower not working properly, we not only apologized for this, our Engineering dept. was sent to fix the problem on the morning the guest went on their Similan trip. We were not aware that the problem persisted until the clients made another complaint prior to their checkout. Upon hearing of the news, our Manager promptly provided the clients an additional discount to their room rate, which they gladly appreciated – and failed to mention in their review. It is noteworthy to point out that when the clients requested an early checkout, every effort was made to help and they were allowed to checkout without any additional fees – this is highly unusual considering that it was the middle of the Peak period. When our Reservations Manager talked to the clients to find alternative accommodation, from their comments, he suggested such nearby 5 star resorts as the Sarojin or LeMeridien as this seem more appropriate to the taste & needs of the client. We appreciate comments as they provide for improvements in our quality of service, but they need to be appropriate to be helpful; Haadson is stylish, small, & a simple resort, which is reflected in our room rates - there is no benefit in comparing our facilities & services to 5 star resorts such as Indigo Pearl, Nakamanda, or the Four Seasons.
