Gumfreston Hotel

I was advised to book quick as others wanted the room. It was not full by any means. I was told that I had to pay £80 cash on arrival and was reminded of this as soon as we got in the door. Room was way to small we could hardly move. I am of average height for a man 5' 10' but when using the toilet my knees touch the wall! The towels were old and so were the beds and bedding. The rules were everywhere I was a little scared. No take aways no alcohol etc and in thick bold print as well. Maybe it could have read 'it is kindly requested'... more

Me and my girlfriend stayed at the Gumfreston for 3 nights recently. We really enjoyed the stay - the staff were friendly and the room was clean and had everything we needed. We would deinitely stay here again when we return to Tenby.

I don't know what the other reviewers saw that I didn't? Our room was small, and there was no-where to put our suitcase. The bathroom was only about 3 feet wide and the towels felt damp before we tried to use them. The bed linen was a mismatch of purple and pink, nylon sheets, and a rubber sheet covered the mattress - I dread to think why. We had booked for three nights, but found somewhere else to stay for the third.

We have been staying at the Gumfreston Hotel a couple of times. We have had a lot of fantastic days in the hotel. The rooms are a bit small, but comfortable enough to stay for at least a week. Staff is perfect, very helpfull and has a great sense of humour. We had many laughs downstairs in the bar. I think this is the most pleasant hotel we have ever been on our travels through the UK!!! We will be back (can't hardly wait to be back).

I stayed at the hotel due to its affordability, location to the beach/town and service offered. I was very pleased with all. The hotel is quaint like Tenby itself and has all you need for a mini break - bed, breakfast, bathroom and bar! would recommend to friends.

Warm welcome, great hotel and food. Was in short walking distance of the beach and shops. Will visit again, really pleased!

me and my wife recently decided to go to tenby for the day but when we got there we both were having such a great time and realised there was still more we wanted to see and do we decided to get a hotel and make a weekend of it we decided to check into the gumfreston hotel as it was in such a great location upon checking into the hotel we were met by very friendly staff who were more than keen to help us during our stay our room was ideal and very clean.our brakfast in the morning was just the start we both needed for the day i can almost... more

As my title says " i shall return ", the week myself and my girlfriend stayed was totally enjoyable, very nice staff, they treated us well and we were both pleasantly suprised at the welcome we got, we have stayed at another hotel the year before(not to far from there) and they were nowhere near as nice, we look forward to next year (hope the weathers the same) Chris & Carla

I will never stay here again. T he bedrooms were small dingy , dirty. How this hotel got they're 2 stars i will never know.

Sorry but the staff were very helpful but the hotel was like going back in time. It was a very small room but was meant to be one of the big ones, I know it was only 2 star but we were shocked at it. we only stayed as we were on a bike and were a bit wet. They were very helpful but the room was not at all attractive, we rode home 250 miles the next day and cut our holiday short. We will not return to Wales again.
