St.Bernards Guesthouse

I stayed with my teenage son and husband, we had a lovely time. The accomodation is modern bright and airy. The website is very good and portrays the guest house just right. The breakfast was lovely, and we had a friendly chat with john and his wife, asking where they recommended having a meal, before going out for the evening. We have stayed in Newquay quite a few times now, and we enjoyed it here the best. Will definately come again. !!!!

St Bernards Guesthouse has got to be the best guesthouse/b+b/hotel I've ever visited: brilliant service, lovely people, delicious breakfasts, excellent value for money. Right in the centre of everything without being noisy at night- simply could not have dreamed of a better place to stay. I would like to recommend this place to anyone

We were in Newquay for a friends wedding and decided to go down a few days early for a long weekend break. We spent 2 nights in a double room and loved it! The building has been refurbished to a high standard - as others have said, it looks exactly as it does on the website! The room was nicely decorated and spacious, the owners were lovely (I needed to find a good salon to get my hair done for the wedding and Louise was so helpful!) and the breakfast was one of the best we've had! Just got back from a fantasic New Years break in Newquay. We booked direct with St Bernards Guesthouse, for 2 nights arriving on the 30th December. This is no average guesthouse! As soon as we'd pulled up outside, we knew we'd made a fantastic choice. We checked in and made our way up to our room. We were on the top floor (room 7) and we had the small double room. This is a lovely B&B, with one major problem, the quality of the beds. Our bed and mattress were so uncomfortable, we slept on the floor! You could feel the springs through the bed. The hosts were lovely and helpful, the decoration was beautiful, and the breakfast was delicous. However unfortunately these don't outweigh the problems with the bed.

clear your mind of all images of a typical b&b............this is no ordinary guest house, beautifully decorated, and well situated., near the town centre and a very short walk from restaurants bars and beaches. I booked here for one night (am mid thirties) for a single room and was in the small double (rm 4), ensuite. To be fair I was warned that it was a small room and it didn't bother me. The B&B has been redecorated tastefully from top to bottom - it changed hands in Feb this year and they've obviously worked very hard. Louise was definitely the hostess with the mostess, she was supremely helpful beyond the call of duty (I arrived 1st thing in the morning with husband in tow (he wasn't staying though) and had forgotten to warn her!)... more
