stayed for a week, and found the owners and staff very welcoming.excellent breakfast with a good choice.clean and tidy rooms with plenty of things to keep the children happy,ie toys n 'games,and dvds in the family rooms,we will be coming back next year

Great stay! The room was very comfortable, full with things to do and read. Close to lots of things places, and nice location.

What a find! read reviews on net before booking and we were not disappointed. The hosts could not do enough for us Maureen's cooking was above average and she is self taught, Michael was on hand giving us information on locations etc., to visit. The room was bright, spacious and clean with an excellent en suite. 5 mins walk to front and local shops, frequent buses into town on from here.

Marvellous stay for a week, Superking room was lovely and spacious. 5 mins from sea front, lovely walk slight hill but lots of walls to lean against for the older person. Food brilliant, I have a dairy intolerance and Maureen took the time to substitute with my non dairy products and every meal was very enjoyable. Have just returned form a 3 night break in this hotel.We paid £30 per person a night for DB&B. This was excellent value.We were treated to a full cooked or continental breakfast plus cereals,fruit juices etc.For evening meals we had a good choice and everything was home cooked and fresh, no frozen(soups home made and desserts home made etc) .The food was to a very high standard.the rooms were spotless and clean towels every day, tea/coffee making facilities etc were the norm. We spent 2 nights at the Westbrook Hotel on a short family break. We were given a warm welcome. The rooms were immaculate with every need catered for! We also booked dinner and were treated to a splendid 3 course meal for £12 each. What a bargain! The service and accommodation were first class and very reasonably priced. We would not hesitate to stay there again and would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a comfortable, clean and welcoming hotel serving excellent breakfasts and dinners!!! Hope to visit again.

absoloutely lovely hotel. i booked it because of all the great reviews on here and was not disapointed. the staff are very friendly, the breakfast was delicious, the room was nicely decorated and clean, the bathroom was spotless, all in all i would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to stay in torquay. Its location is also great. just a 5 min walk into town and to the beach, but far enough out that we were not disturbed by noise. i will definately return.

This little hotel is a real gem. The owners seem to have thought of everything and treat guests personally but not too personally! We travelled with our 5 year old son and booked in at short notice over the August bank holiday. We had a spacious, clean and airy room with lots to keep kids entertained - books, toys, videos etc. The owners were very helpful about how to get the most out of Torquay - we would never have got to see the Red Arrows at Dartmouth if they hadn't suggested it.
