Fontecruz Granada

There were very few reviews on TA when I booked this. But I saw it mentioned by Maribel's Guide and we got a great deal so we gave it a shot. What a GREAT experience. Javier at the desk was a doll. They could not do enough for us. They greeted us with a cool drink, gave us restaurant suggestions, helped us with directions, booked tours etc. We had Alhambra tickets for our last morning and they held the room for us so we could come back and shower after they made reservations for lunch at the Parador for us. Stayed here for 2 nights 4th & 5th July 2010, the location on the Gran via is central to everything you wish to do in this vibrant ,amazing city of culture. The hotel reception staff were excellent friendly & helpful. The hotel is tres chic with spa. Our room was wonderful & all for £75 per night what an absolute bargain. If u r coming to visit this majestic city look no further than the Fontecruz.

I recently stayed at the Fontecruz hotel in Granada with my boyfriend. We spent a couple of weeks in southern Spain and I must say this was our favorite hotel. It was trendy, comfortable, clean, well-located and brand new. Our room was a nice size with two twins beds pushed together, a desk, a big bathroom and a little balcony overlooking Gran Via de Colon. The room was spotless and I loved the way it was decorated. The best thing about this hotel though was the staff. They were helpful and attentive to all of our needs and questions.... more

We stayed here for 3 nights during a trip around Andalucia and used it as a base for sightseeing in Granada. Excellent location - 3 mins walk from cathedral, 2 mins to bus stop for La Alhambra and the Albaicin, on the main road for shopping and near all the main squares. Staff are really friendly - helpful, polite, give good recommendations for restaurants, speak several languages, keen to give their personal opinions (useful for finding out about the 'real' granada) and proud of their hotel. We we in Seville for two days and we traveled to Granada by car, not to long 2,30 h. nice trip!! Fontecruz Granada is in "La Gran Via" the main street in Granada, so u can no be in better place. They have this Restaurant call " Morrison´s" really cool and trendy!!!! they have a great "Memorabilia collection" Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, beatles, Rolling Stones, etc.. u can not get this unique photos and first-prints edition even in the good places in London!!!!! so cool!!!!!!!! We just returned from a two week vacation in Spain. During our trip we visited four cities. We stayed at the Fontecruz Granada and Fontecruz Seville. We were traveling with our 1 year old son and both sets of grandparents and booked three rooms at each hotel. The rooms were modern, very clean, and everything from the furniture to linens appeared to be new. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Although the rooms were not big, they were comfortably sized. loved this hotel. elegant trendy style on a lively main street - but we didnt find noise a problem even tho our room was onto the main street. suites have views of the alhambra. javier was extremely helpful organising trips, monica the manager was charming and interested in us and our views, beds comfortable, doorless bathrooms not a problem for us as our room layout meant the bathroom was around a corner. surprising lack of bathroom supplies, had to ask for shower caps, extra soap, though the bath gel was gorgeous -tangerine-but... more

This hotel is in an excellent location for visiting Granada. The rooms are attractive with comfortable beds. The bathrooms are very modern but fairly compact. The reception staff are very pleasant and helpful. It would be nice to have a computer available for guests use. A willing member of staff did check our flight for us in case of delay, as there had been a considerable snowfall in the U.K. while we were in Spain. Small, quiet (in back rooms), well located, super staff. We were disappointed with the breakfast (poor choice and expensive for what was on offer) and our room had some minor 'teething troubles' due to its newness (only been opened a few months), but the hotel were keen to rectify any problems. We stayed 5 nights and would return.

It's a 5 star hotel, very new (four months open when we arrived), beautifully arranged and in a perfect location. I stayed just for one night, with my husband and my baby, all the staff was very kind and willing to help. The location is perfect, the cathedral is just crossing the street, and there are beautiful views of the Alhambra from the terrace.
