Ibis Birmingham Airport

Stayed one night pre flight. Excellent location - one minute from medium stay car park, 5 mins from departure terminal. Paid £43 for a double room which was spotlessly clean. Rom has a strange 'pod'-like- shower room in one corner. Bed was rock hard and pilows thin, but request for further pillows was met within the hotel's '15 minute service' deadline. me and my partner stayed here on early hours of sunday after getting home from our hols in the canaries, the terminal 1 arrivals is barely a 5 min walk through the car park to the hotel very clean, good front member of staff who was polite and knew what he was doing we decided on the £5.50 breakfast each and it was lovely, plenty to choice from and good value for money the rooms were very futureristic and small, but had everything you needed it, the only complaint was the paper thin pillow for your head, but other than... more

We stayed at the Ibis for a show at the NEC. It was really convenient, very clean and the staff were lovely. Breakfast was continental but very nice and the evening menu was good and reasonably priced. The rooms were small and basic (no hairdryer) but clean, warm and the shower was great. I got home last night and have already booked for next year.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as we were attending a trade show at the NEC. The Staff were very courteous and the continental breakfast was ample. The bedroom was functional with the usual tea coffee etc. However the bed was extremely hard with the expression "slept like a log" which to us was "slept on a log". The mattress was so hard you could not even press into it. We think the mattress was on a piece of hardboard. We had asked for a double bed but it was 2 beds put together which were 2' 6" each bed. i always stay with the ibis hotels as there good value! i stayed at the ibis Birmingham airport hotel for easy access to the nec, my stay itself was ok! the beds hard and the pillows awful, don't eat in the ibis its horrid!! go around the corner to the novotel where the food is alot better at the same price!! i paid for one of my nights in advanced due to a special offer but the first night i payed when checking out, so i was all paid up, but then over a month later i get a credit card statement in the post(the credit card i used to reserve... more

The hotel is ideally located within easy walking distance of the airport. The staff were friendly and helpful, the evening meal good and the rooms extremely clean, modern and well equipped with flat screen t.v. and pristine white shower room. The continental breakfast was very reasonably priced and provided a good choice, with plenty of fresh fruit, pastries, yoghurts etc.

Surely the point of an airport hotel is a good nights sleep before an early flight - you won't get it here. This was the hardest bed I have ever tried to sleep in with the meanest, tiny pillow. We would have been more comfortable sleeping in the car. As a new hotel the room was immaculate and the bathroom functional but there was no hair drier - a problem as when you are gong to a 5 star resort you don't need to have packed a travel one. Its back to the Novotel for us next time.

We booked this hotel because we arrived on a late flight. Check in was smooth we ordered a snack which was adequete, although the drinks were a bit pricey. The room was functional and resembled a cabin on a ship - the shower and toilet were clean and there was a decent choice on TV - would stop there again if on either an early or late flight

Me and my friend stayed in this new hotel before flying to spain and we was so impressed with everything.We booked directly with the hotel and they were more than happy to answer all our questions. Unfortunatley they do not have parking but the hotel is in the airport so not unexpected.When we arrived we were surprised at the great location, its literally opposite the terminals. Stopped at the Ibis on the second day that it had been opened, and therefore expected everything to be near perfect. Wrong! The rooms were spotlessly clean(as you would expect) though quite small, with all the usual features (kettle, dvd etc). Having got a very early flight, we decided to eat in the cafe which had a reasonable priced assorted menu. What a refreshing change to have a new hotel to choose from when im flying into Birmingham,having dealt with the onsite Novotel for the past three years.This has everything you would expect from an Ibis but with that added personal touch,my stay did encounter some problems but Iput that down to it being a new hotel and hopefully they have sorted it now.I would highly reccomend this hotel the staff are extremely friendly and the atmosphere in general beat all my expectations hands down.
