Aston Hotel Sheffield Rotherham

The hotel was in very fine condition, being built only in 2006. Three floors. We stayed in a room on 3rd floor. Room reasonable size, Very large king size bed. Excellent furnishings, Shower,sink and toilet in top condition. Adjustable Air con worked well. All staff pleasent and polite. Downstairs reception, lounge and seating for breakfast and enveing meals. Very good condition and nice environement to relax. Bar meals also available. Great hotel room with a lovely comfortable King Size bed adorned with high quality linen. The bathroom has a walk in shower big enough for 2 (1 person sat down) and generally very nicely furnished to a good standard. The breakfast (at the weekend at least) is of a buffet style where you can go up for a second time - good quality food although the coffee did look a bit like dark treacle but tasted lovely. We love visiting the Peak's District and decided to stay in the area to see the sights over a few days. This hotel was exceptional value via an internet deal including Dinner, Bed, Breakfast & 2 tickets to Chatsworth for 79 pounds. Hotel was opened in May 2008 as part of a small chain. Fantastic hotel with really helpful and friendly staff. Although listed as a 3* it was every bit as good as many a four star. Spacious and well equiped rooms and excellent hot and cold buffet breakfast. Arrived early for an all day event at the Arena and was able to check in at 10:30am, it's very convenient for the Arena (£5 taxi) and not too bad for city centre.

I came to sheffield to watch the Pussycat dolls & Lady Gaga in concert at the Sheffield Arena. When i checked in reception staff very friendly and helpful. They also booked a taxi for me to go to the concert. Taxi cost around £8. Rooms is nice and big with comfortable bed and power shower. I went for luch in the restaurant, service was good. The food was very good and nice presentable. I would recommend this hotel to anybody.

We booked the hotel to stay overnight following the Coldplay concert at the Sheffield Arena. It’s a modern, attractive enough building located just off the motorway on a retail/industrial estate which is still in the stages of being constructed i.e. “in the middle of nowhere”! We had a struggle finding it in thick fog when we arrived as the approach was round a few roundabouts, under the motorway and along a section of roadworks. We stayed at the Aston Hotel (Sheffield/Rotherham) as part of a Coach Trip on the way to Lincoln Christmas Market. The trip was an absolute nightmare!!! But the Hotel was FANTASTIC! We stayed at the hotel for one night. The reception staff were fantastic and couldnt do enought for us which was great. We arrieved early and was able to check in to the room 2 hours before the check in time. The room was really nice the bed was great and there was everything we needed. The bathroom was very clean and the bath and shower were above avarage size. We went to the arena and on returning we were able to get drinks until about 1am. This is my first week in this new hotel in Rotherham. The service is very good, employees are friendly and helpful. The food is ok, beds very confortable, it is very quite and clean. They also offer free wi-fi internet. The bad thing is that they do not have gym, and do not exchange foreign currency.

The is definatly the best hotel in Sheffield & Rotherham. Making my booking was quick & simple just the way it should be. Upon arrival i was greeted with a smile by the lovely receptionist, when i entered my room it was wonderful, perfect. I didnt have to ask for anything extra because it was all there. We stayed at the Aston hotel Sheffield-Rotherham, coincidentally on their official opening day, and though the hotel had only been open unofficially for a couple of weeks, everything ran very smoothly. It is a really lovely and comfortable place to stay, and very handy to visit Hardwick Hall and Chatsworth. Very stylish, all modern conveniances and exceptional value at £69 per room per night. The food is good and the menu has something for everyone. Even the soaps and lotions in the public restrooms were delicious. I thoroughly recommend it!
