Ibis Nottingham Centre

A perfect location to the clubs and pubs, and shops too! The service on reception to check in was excellent, always good to be greeted with pleasant and 'happy' staff. Our room was located on the 5th floor, the room was modern, very clean and with the usual pod like bathroom including the spacious shower. firstly I must say the service was great, the room was very clean all over and the bathroom spotless. Flat screen tv, high ceilings and a good breakfast with a great location. The only downside is that due to where it is and the price people use it to stay after a night out. the downside of this is that between the hours of midnight and 3:30am there is a lot of noise in the corridors and doors slamming shut (they are all on heavy swing doors) and I found it very hard to sleep on the friday or saturday night. My other half and I stayed for one night and chose a chain hotel as you know what you're getting compared to B&B's which can be very hit and miss. The room was clean, the bed large and comfortable and despite the location in the city centre, it wasn't noisy at all. They kindly let us check in two hours early. Would definitely use again.

Four of us (two couples) stayed at the Ibis because we were visiting Nottingham to see Queen in concert at the arena. I booked the hotel after reading reviews on this site and was not dissappointed. The hotel has a terrific location right in the heart of bars/clubs/shops and is very close to the arena. If you travel by car its easy to find and the multi storey car park directly across the road is handy, reasonably priced and safe. We stayed at the Ibis Nottingham when we travelled here for a gig at the FM Arena (which is a 5 minute walk away). We chose the Ibis as we'd stayed at several Ibis hotels before and had always had a good experience - well, this was no different! The price was great - £42 when booked in advance for a Thursday night, which was way cheaper than anything else in the area. The first impression of the hotel is misleading. The entrance is in an old and small building, but once you are checked in (friendly staff) and managed to operate the elevator (you have to swipe your room key, which can be tricky), the opposite door opens on the requested floor and you are in a new building. The rooms are small, but very functional (no cupboards with doors), clean, well kept.. The flat tv was also an internet gateway (infrared keyboard). Stayed for 2 nights at the Nottingham Ibis 24/25th of April. In fact! this was the second time in 5 months. Arrived very early in the afternoon, this was no problem, the resepionist was very pleasant and helpful, and made booking in very easy, I did explain that I did not wish to have same room as last time, because that one had an outside architectural obstruction, it seem'e to know what I meant, and was given a room on the 4th floor about 4 doors down the corridor. Stayed here for one night for a Christmas party. A very good room with an excellent 'pod' shower, good decor and comfy bed. The bar is pleasant as is breakfast. All the staff were polite- no complaints at all and the location is unsurpassed.

Just stayed on a Saturday night; me, wife and 11 year old in the one room for £38 (not including breakfast). Room on third floor was fine; reasonable size with decent fold-out bed and LCD TV (minor point- 4:3 screen with no obvious way of getting 16:9 broadcasts from being displayed horizontally squashed, which might be an issue if you want to pay extra for movies).
