Village Leeds South

Needed a last minute stay over, (with a dog)! found this hotel on the net and it was just the job. Only opened Sept 2008, very trendy looking, like a large black tardis. very different from usual Village hotels. room as you would expect in a decent hotel, everything worked, very trendy bathroom, one shiny red wall! with super power shower, plus hand attachment for washing your hair. My boyfriend and I went to village hotel, south leeds for valentines day. we paid the advance price of £69 which was amazing value. we used the swimming pool and leisure facilitites. the pool and jacuzzi were both huge, but they were really busy. we didnt eat in the reataurant, but ate in the pub. the food was gorgeous, really quick service and great value for money. the room was lovely too. huge plazma tv, and walk in shower were the best parts, although the shower did flood the bathroom! we didnt leave the hotel so not... more

Very good hotel, all mod cons. Hotel is new opened in late 2008. Staff were helpful. Did not eat at hotel restaurant in evening, however, did eat breakfast the following morning, the breakfast was well presented and was buffet style. Paid £59 for B+B Will stay there again.

Very modern hotel with great leisure facilities. Really need a car if you want to visit the city centre as about a 20 minute drive. But what is good is 5 minute drive up the road is the white rose shopping centre which is huge and has loads of shops. Breakfast is great and room facilities.

This hotel is one of the best I have ever stayed in. The decor, cleanliness and facilities were second to none, food delicious and service with a smile. A fantastic hotel which I hope to return to in the future.

We have just spent the weekend at the Village Hotel, South Leeds. The Hotel Manager Chris, was superb !! and this shows in all his staff. The bar Manager Dave was great, very helpful and friendly. The hotel was very easy to find and in a great location to make the most of Leeds and the surrounding area. We have stayed a 5 different Village hotels and they are brilliant. I came and stayed in the hotel for a weekend and from arrival to departure i had a brilliant time. I thought the style of the whole hotel was the best i have seen in ages-very modern but simple, particulary the bathroom and bedrooms. Above all the staff were extremly helpful and friendly. I particulary thought the hot stone cooking at the table was a brillant idea and tasted amazing. A great hotel; modern, good food, excellent gym and pool, lovely rooms and great staff. We had a couple of problems with the shower in our room so we had to move to the room next door but the staff were brilliant about it. Can't stress enough how helpful all the staff were. thanks for a lovely couple of nights.

Simply the smartest hotel we have stayed in for the money. A wonderful welcome from a very friendly lady at the reception, which was characteristic of all the staff at the hotel. We were always met with a greating and a smile from everyone. Beautiful public areas with nice quite corners to sit and read the papers, they even have a coffee house with excellent fresh coffee. Our bedroom was large with a loveley comfortable bed and a very large plasma TV. Tea/coffee and all the bits we have experienced in much more expensive... more
