Acra Hotel

I would definetly recommend this hotel. The place is real neat and nice. It is also located at an ideal spot to the main attractions of Istanbul but away from all the traffic and noise. Hence our stay there was real comfortable. Since I went with my 1year old son we could conveniently return to our room for a short break when we were tierd. The manager and staff were excellent. We spent 2 days and 2 nights in this hotel and this was an experience we couldn't forget)) The staff was really friendly and helpfull, rooms were clean and comfortable and contained all that people need!) We drived in Istanbul from Moscow, Russia and we were very glad, when one boy from personal gave us a parking place for free( parking place is good and it's not dangerous to park car there). So, we liked this hotel and as I think, if you stop here, it will be an excellent choise, and you wouldn't be dissapointed. :D

I spent my last three days in Istanbul at the Hotel Acra. The first two I spent at an overpriced hostel around the corner, with a shared bathroom, windows that didn't shut, and a restaurant below me that played music loudly until 4am. I threw up my hands and tried the Hotel Acra. For only 15 euros more a night, I got to stay in what was (for me, anyway) a luxury hotel with my own bathroom, television set and internet service in my room. We had been travelling in Turkey for some days and it was pure pleasure to arrive at the acra. Almost brand new, the room decorating was outstanding. Ornate with old world charm, yet so modern. Free wireless internet and wonderful wonderful staff. The location is outstanding. 2 mins from the blue mosque. The breakfast is wonderful - at the next door hotel's rooftop terrace. The location of Acra Hotel is excellent, walking distance to different historical places in the old city of Istanbul and just a few minute walk from the tram. I stayed 4 nights at Acra Hotel in July 2009. The room was big, clean, comfortable with air-conditiong. The Staffs was polite and very friendly. Good breakfast buffet on roof terrace with great view on Bosphorus and Blue Mosque. Good quality-price rate.

i spent two nights in this nice hotel, well located.the room was quiet, clean and the staff was really helpful and kind, especially a girl called Melisa. the hotel is not that expensive and you can reach all the major places in few minutes walk (Aghia Sophia,Blue Mosque, Topkapi palace).

We stayed for 2 nights at the hotel Acra. It wasn't our first stay at hotels in Istanbul, and I have to admit that this one was the best from that which we stayed in. It has a good location, verry close to the saint Sophia Cathedral. Our room had a balcony with a view to the hole city and mountains, valleys were in the sight. The Furniture in the rooms was perfect and the rooms were very clean. Also there was pretty much space in the room. We stayed three nights at the Acra. The location is superb---about two blocks from the Blue Mosque, about six minutes' walk to Topkapi. The hotel is brand new, with pleasant rooms (although a bit crowded with too much furniture). The mattresses were excellent, firm and super comfortable. Lovely bathrooms. Many of the rooms overlook an outdoor restaurant, but with the windows shut and the air conditioner going, we didn't hear a thing. For our first visit to Istanbul, the Acra Hotel was the perfect place to stay at. It is located in close walking distance to the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia etc. Our hotel room was quiet and very clean. We especially enjoyed the comfortable beds and the well equipped bathroom. The friendly staff was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommendable!
