Royal Prisco Hotel

We booked a balcony room with a view at the Royal Prisco for our honeymoon based on the reviews on this site. All the reviews were right on, including the one regarding the double booking. When we arrived, (at about 4:00 PM) we found that our room was not "ready" They told us that there was a problem with the bathroom, but later found out that the problem was that it had been doubled booked. We stayed at Hotel Royal Prisco in Positano June 2006. We were extremley pleasantly surprised when we saw the wonderful location of this hotel and were greeted at the door by the fabulous reception staff. We were taken to our room which was a HUGE suite complete with massive bedroom, enormous bathroom with fantastic amenities, double sink bathroom, spa bath. My husband visited Positano in our travels of Italy this summer and stayed at the Royal Prisco....we were very impressed! The rooms are very clean and ours had a balcony overlooking the town and coastline. Michelangelo and his sister were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful and the location of the hotel is perfect! If you make your way to Positano this is the place to stay!

We had a great time in Positano. The food, wine, views, town and the hotel were great! The room was spacious, with a small bathroom and nice balcony. Breakfast is served in your room or on your private balcony. The room had a fridge so we bought some prosciuto and drinks. We had a wonderfully relaxing weekend. Great little hotel in a good location close to a large parking, nice walk to the beach where we rented a boat for a few hours. Would love to go back and would stay at Royal Prisco again. Great value.

We reserved 3 rooms at the Royal Prisco. Only to find on our arrival that they had double booked all of them, so we lost all of our rooms and had nowhere to stay!! Eventually they found us 3 rooms in a converted villa miles from Positano. Thank you Royal Prisco for ruining our visit to Positano.

We have only nice things to stay about this hidden GEM!!! I loved it...everything about it!!The room had a hallway.After staying in average sized rooms all over Italy it was sooo nice to be in a BIG US style bathroom and room. The balcony was also gigantic and had the best view. The 2 hotel workers were sooo helpful in planning restaurants and helping us figure out transportation. It is in the best spot for walking and exploring all of Positano. We LOVED it and cannot say anything bad. It was an awesome place and I hear they are remodeling... more

Location fantastic. People very friendly. Certainly the best value hotel around. I recommend you lash out and get a balcony - sensational views that really make the trip an endearing memory. Say hello to Michelangelo for me!

What a view! Just returned from my 3 day stay and I was so sorry to leave my terrace. We ate breakfast and dinner there every day. This is a family run hotel which is so quiant. We had a junior suite which was just lovely. The family was so helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was outstanding. The best I had on my trip. Positano was magical. Just don't arrive or leave on the weekend. Gerri

"Absolutement!!" The best place to stay. The service was impeccable and the rooms very clean. The best view in Positano come from those rooms and every room has one. See my posted picture. I know there isn't much posted on this website, but if you read the guest book at the front desk, you'll see rave reviews from people from all over the world, addressing each staff member by name. My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights in mid-July, 2004. Good size room with a large bathroom. The place was very clean and very nice. Our room had a good size balcony overlooking the town and the sea. Wow. I can still picture it ... looking out and seeing the dome surrounded by the sea ... it gives me chills.
