I stayed at this hotel with my family in March 2008 for 3 nights. And we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Rooms were really spacious, and my 2-year-old was running around freely. Breakfast was great too and the staff was extemely friendly and polite. The resort like atmosphere of this hotel is a big plus point, and if you're looking at a relaxing holiday this is a good bet. The service level of the Hotel staff was extermely good. Everyone was at hand if guest needed anything.Always given a good suggestion for sightseeing & purchasing.Even breakfast was excellent .

The hotel is good, but breakfast is not good. About 100 m to the beach. To reach the beach, you have to go down stairs. The beach near the hotel is not good. You can not swim there. Because there are rocks near the beach. The odd thing is: when we need a taxi (taxi in pattaya is more like tuk tuk, not a real taxi as we usually know) to go to Mini Siam. The reception staff, offer us to help us to call a taxi. She said, it is more safe for us, if we let her call the taxi, than to stop the taxi by ourselves by the street. Dear Rosehill01, Thank you very much for your kind feedback on stay at Royal Orchid Resort,your feedback has been conveyed to the concerned head of departments to improve upon the shortcomings.Juts to clarify, our hotel located near by cliff beach so they are many rocks but one has a beautiful view of the sunset and swimming area is a short walk to the north pattaya beach , we also have the free shuttle van to drop you there with out any cost. Concerning your feedback on the taxi to Mini Siam , we are arranged it for you at cost of baht 300.- which is the price of taxi , which came from outside hotel. The hotel did not make any surcharge on this service.For your return trip ,may be the driver thought that if you will ask him to drive back to hotel he will reduce a 100.-baht, meaning that it would be the charge of a round trip. Normally there are many other taxi a waiting for the customers to use their service in front 0f The Mini Siam as well. Nevertheless, we will strive to improve on our services ,also please rest assured that it is not our policy to over charge our clients as you could have seen from our wide array of services which were reasonably priced offering the clients value for money. My partner and I stayed at the Royal Orchid Resort in December for 11 nights and overall I've got to say we were very pleased with the hotel. On arriving, check in was swift and they didn't mind that we got there very early and way before check-in. They showed us to a room just off the reception on the ground floor and I think the girls could tell from our faces that we weren't happy with where we were put. Without us saying anything one of the girls returned to our room and said she will upgrade us to a room by the pool. I must add... more

The Hotel is set in such a pleasant and peaceful area..so in touch with nature. We stayed for 3 days at the hotel and we got an excellent service.The room was very clean and decor too was very in keeping with the thai culture which I especially liked .....You get a feel of the country one is in. Its an excellent hotel for kids with a swimming pool area for babies and kids.The breakfast buffet served was very good catering to western, chinese and even indian tastes. Bad Experience from jungleboy007
I had been to Pattaya for a conference earlier this year and was booked in this hotel. I had a nightmare stay there. Firstly I was put in room which didnt have safe, a cupboard with broken door, full of musquitoes, AC not working. I had to complain to the manager and after a long wait was changed to another room near the pool which was decent and comfortable. Now the main loss for me was after 4 days of stay I found 10,000 Thai Bhats missing from the cash I was carrying. I am sure this has gone missing from the locker.... more

This was my second stay at this hotel. The hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood with the beach around the corner and walking distance to everything else you need - bars, restaurants, the shopping district and all other facilities you can think of. Thanks to all all the staff at Royal Orchid Resort for making our trip to Pattaya a little bit extra. Our room was nice and tidy. The breakfast were excellent.The surroundings of the hotel is peaceful, almost no traffic. Everything was nearby; beach 5 min, the center of Pattaya 15 min if you take a walk by the seaside. We stayed one week extra at this resort , it was enjoyable. Best recommendation to this hotel. Bernt Westman - Sweden

My husband and I stayed at the Royal Orchid for one week. The hotel is in a quiet area, is modern and clean. The staff was friendly. The room was very spacious, with a view of the parking lot. We enjoyed breakfasts on the tranquil patio. The restaurant did not seem to be set up for lunch or dinner, we had problems but finally ate. The pool was very nice, but had competition from the ocean where the surf is quiet enough for even me to swim. Just so you know, i'm a budget traveller and usually stay at 3 star hotels so i'm not extrememly picky. But overall, i will share the good and bad with you so you are well equip for your trip here. Good points: Overall Appearance and Design: Quite modern and clean.
