Antis Hotel

My mother and I stayed here in September for three nights. It was expensive but it's beautiful. All of the staff, with the exception of one cheeky guy at the front desk (but hey, the world's not perfect), were incredibly friendly; the hotel very posh. The rooftop terrace is beautiful. Free internet in the lobby. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a relaxing stay. The location is quite close to the Sultan Ahmet, the Grand Bazaar, the Aya Sofya, Topkapi Palace--all of the typical tourist places. It's a bit of a walk... more

We had 3 nights at the Antis. The hotel is brand new so everything was immaculate. I liked the decore, modern with a twist of Ottoman. We ate the breakfast every morning at the hotel, it's not your full fry up but there was lots of choices of cheese and jams & cereal so we were well fed for a day of sight seeing. The hotel is right next to the train tracks and a mosque so if you are not a heavy sleeper be warned. It didn't bother us though as the train is not that frequent. Stayed here for 5 nights. Good points: very new, very clean, good sized room, great powerful shower, air con very good, even minibar fridge was good at cooling (own) drinks. Tasteful decor - not trying to be too boutique cool or crazy, just neutral colours, antique style furniture and good lighting. Stairs are steep but there's a good lift. Not so good: was really quite noisy: room directly over railway tracks, trains every 15-30 mins (know the timetable quite well now), and local mosque minaret just outside the window - call to prayer... more

Good location very near to the blue mosque and to the tourists restaurants in Sultanhamet. All the staff kind and courteous, expecially the men at the reception (Ergan e Mustafa) ready to give you some useful advice. Wonderful terrace (great view on Bosphorus and on the Blue Mosque) The Hotel is very new (it was opened on september 09), elegant and refinedly furnished. Satellitar TV with fine flat screen. Only two negative points: the room is not big and the hotel is near the railway (so if you don't sleep hard....)

The hotel is clean and comfortable, location in Sultanhamet is great (although you light sleepers might want room away from the train line and the mosque), breakfast on the roof is wonderful. But by far the best thing about this hotel is the staff - they are fantastic. Endlessly accommodating and helpful. Thank you!

Excellent friendly service by all staff. This is a small, new 24-room hotel very close to the Blue Mosque but a couple of blocks away from some of the noisy cheaper places in Sultahnamet. Rooms are beautifully appointed & we appreciated the efficiency of the air conditioning system. A 5-10 minute walk to the 4 Seasons, Aya Sofia, Cistern & tram. 20 minute walk to Grand Bazaar. very nice, lovely decorated hotel that has just opened up in the old part of Istanbul. major sights are all in walking distance, hotel rooftop offers a very nice view to the Blue Mosque and the Marmara sea. Hotel staff, especially Ercan, very friendly and helpful. A small negative aspect: railway tracks direclty behind the hotel

I found this new hotel because we wanted to leave the hotel where we were...we asked and visited many hotels in the area and this is a great value for money!! Wonderful views, beautiful rooms, clean and with a great location. Perfect for couples.

We found the Antis after 3 days in another hotel around the corner - a pity we did not find it sooner. Just opened, the hotel was new and clean, the staff polite & efficient, the breakfast excellent and the location good. Ercan at the front desk was very friendly, fluent in English and went out of his way to help us during our stay. The rooftop terrace was stunning - a perfect place to watch the ships go by at the end of the day.

Who like art and histories ? This is the right place and right hotel. Great view of marmara sea. Blue Mosque, Aya Sophia, Hippodrome, Cistern, Palace, etc. all are nearby. Hotel Antis also has a fascinating teras to have breakfast against view of marmara sea and prince islands. Everybody very friendly at this hotel. Location, prize, comfort and service are amazing at this hotel. It is a sweet, luxury hotel, I would recommend it to anyone going to istanbul for a vacation.
