Adi Dharma Hotel

Stayed in the adhi Dharma Hotel in December 2007 and had a pleasant stay. After checking out the website and getting a quote for about $20 AUD per night per person i thought I must be missing something. The hotel doesnt look as good in person as it does on the website, and the whole place probably needs a coat of paint, but it is in a fantastic spot that is both quiet and very convenient to Kuta beach and all the shopping and restaurant areas. Our reservation was actually at Adhi Dharma Cottage, which is about 100m away from the Hotel. However, something happened along the way and we were given rooms at the Hotel instead. Rooms are comfy, staffs are friendly and helpful and location is very strategic, the famed Legian street and Kuta beach is within walking distance! 1 thing that annoyed us was the mosquitoes! I stayed at this hotel in May 2008, I have been, my eighth time is at Bali, for me it has been disappointment, at the room there were mosquitoes for all the sides, and they enter because doors and windows many old women are and contorted, you turn off the light, and you see the light outside for the borders. We sent clothing to the dry cleaner's, and they deliver nothing else to the fourth day, than a cap, they say than the other one they will give it tomorrow, if I get to know it before. I have just returned from a three week stay at the Adhi Dharma hotel and enjoyed every minute of our stay there. The hotel is situated in a quiet area of Kuta, a block away from the noise and bustle of Lejian St. and yet it's possible to walk there in three or four minutes, cutting through the A.D Cottages hotel. The Hotel is in a quiet part of Kuta and this can be necessary as many gars are 24hr. About 10 min walk to the beach with only moderate hassle on the way. The rooms are a bit tired but what do you expect for the price? Clean towels and sheets everyday and endless hot water. A free security safe in each room. Breakfast was reasonably good with a choice and eggs done any way you want. Myself, my wife and eldest grand daughter stayed at the Adi Dharma for two weeks in a Deluxe room. What a great experience. Close to Kuta and Legian shops and a short walk to the beaches. The hotel operates a shuttle through Kuta and back to the hotel several times in the morning, afternoon and evening. There is internet access at very reasonable rates and a swimming pool with swim-up bar. The room had two king size beds, heaps of space and its own balcony. The location of the hotel was great, it was right in the midst of all the shopping and restaurants. The hotel rooms were clean but shabby, Management could think about renovating. The food was pretty good. The pool was very small and very average although it had a very nice swim up bar. The staff weren't all that friendly and when we finally checked out, our pool towel tickets had "mysteriously"(and i use the term loosely) disappeared from our table in our room and they tried to charge us a phenominal amount of money to pay them for the... more

Stayed recently at the Adhi Dharma hotel (although the Adhi dharma cottage seemed more tempting). The rooms are very basic and a bit old in appearance. Its time to upgrade. The bed linens were also not very clean.Also the AC kept on dripping continiuously. The staff is very friendly and the service is with a smile. Location wise, no room for complain. I stayed at the Adhi Dharma Hotel with my two children and they had a ball. We had interconnecting rooms and they were very spacious and clean,especially for all the stuff we bought in Bali.The breakfast was great everymorning. My only complaint would be that the food from room service wasn't very nice.The huge spring rolls were yummy though. My kids had never been to Bali and we are going back in August and they want to stay there again.The service was great the people lovely.

We stayed at the hotel for 10 days in January, overall this hotel far exceeds its star rating by virtue of the absolutely superb staff. The room was one of the recently refurbished ones and was clean, spacious, well air conditioned and made up daily if needed. We will definitely be staying there again, the place seems to have become a regular hotel for Australians in particular with a very high rate of return visitors (non scientific) poolside poll of guests.
